Glad to see that my wife and I aren't the only people who put the cat on a leash. Also not the only ones who take the cat places with us.

Couldn't get a pic and just happened no more than a few seconds ago !!!! , but Rascal just ran across my living room wood floor at full speed . Knowing she was getting close to a wall she literally spun out to avoid the wall

She must have slid maybe 3 ft before stopping then made a funny meow then an all out sprint back to the other room were she was prior . Mind you Rascal she's 8.5 yrs old and is running around my place right now as if she was a kitten !!!!

On Friday we took Henry in for his first follow-up visit with the cardiologist since his initial episode. This appointment was to check everything after a few months of meds, and all the news was good. He has no fluid on his lungs or around his heart, and all his labs are good. He's got a heart problem, but otherwise he's still young and healthy, and that's paying off. So, we just have to keep the meds going and make sure he's loved - not going to be a problem.

The bad news is that this type of thing can have a genetic component, so it's time to get his brother tested. Henry goes back in 4 months for another check-up, and we'll get Arthur checked then. Crossing our fingers and hoping for a good result.

So with our Henry being on no less than five drugs given multiple times a day we have had to come up with the best way to package and time everything for the best chance that he'll take it and keep it down, and to allow us to give it to him at the right times each day after factoring in two careers. We ended up making him customized capsules each week and using one of those am/pm weekly pill holders like grandma used to have. This is not the first cat that we have had to do something like this for, and after reading many of the posts here it looks like some of you might be dealing with the same challenges. So, I would like to offer my assistance to anyone who needs it. My wife and I are both pharmacists, and have training and experience in this type of thing. In addition, the wife is certified for immunizations so she knows all about giving shots - something we are doing now for our other cat, Ginger. If you find yourself struggling to get meds into your cat, PM me and I would be happy to look over what you're dealing with and offer advice and suggestions if I can - of course, free of charge.
