I just installed these and really like the style. I made a separate switch for the DRL led lights because I wanted to keep the side marker lamps. TacomaBeast likely a vendor who sells these lights made by spyder. I bought mine off a guy on CL who didnt even own a tacoma.

And I’m guessing it’s a separate low and high bulb?

The only thing I hate about the HL is how the LED bar replaces your side marker lights since that is where it plugs into. In order for you to have your factory side markers, you will have to rig it and tie the LED wiring to the factory side marker wiring. I went a step further and ran the LED to a toggle switch so I can control the LED as a DRL. I wanted the side marker since it matches the nighttime theme that I am running.

That's the factory side marker lamp with it turned on. You will lose that since the install requires you to remove that factory orange bulb and plug the LED harness in that plug. It pretty much becomes a reflector although the headlight does come with the lit small one at the bottom.

A few mods here and there and counting....
If I ever get my hands on a set of these, I'm gonna retrofit it. I love the modern take they offer but the output of my retrofits cannot be replaced by these. One day.

Its pretty easy. The small plug with the green / black wire powers the LED and it plugs into the factory connector where the yellow bulb was. In order to keep the factory bulb, I cut and ran the led wires to the 'driving lights' toggle switch in the truck as seen in the pics so I can control the LED and retain my factory side marker light. I simply squeezed the led wires through the factory connector and put some silicone to seal it. Top pic is how you install it to the factory plug. Bottom pic is how I cut and ran the the LED wires to the toggle switch in the cab. The LED is powered by tapping into the ACC fuse slot.

Yeah my favorite color. There's another one in my area for sale the same color. I seen it on Facebook it looks in very good condition. I think they only want 12 or 13 for it. The only con is I think it's completely stock. I can find a pic of it for you if you want me to

Don't try and run HID's in these. I've tried 3 different sets, and the light pattern is terrible. I'm guessing the bulb is too far forward with the HID's. Would love a rec for some LED's that actually work and are as bright as the standard halogens. I have bought a set of higher output Halogens, just haven't installed them yet. I'll probably open them up at some point and replace the projectors so I can run HID's as I love the way these look, but that was kind of the whole reason I didn't retrofit in the first place.

A buddy suggested I try and make shims for the HID bulbs, so they were better placed in the projector housing, and I may try that. Just frustrating. #earlyadopterproblems

This post went exactly where I needed it too. Just ordered these and ran into the same problem last night. Thank you Wattafunk for the post and the write up.

What halogen bulbs come with the tb / spyder 05-11 for the low/high beams? Are they H1 or H11? I can't remember. I read it somewhere but can't find the info now.

I got them and I like mine. Seem well made and had a ton of silicone on them to seal them up. Got 100 bucks off using a code I found on here. 2 months and multiple trips through Blue Wave carwash with no leaking or fogging. Got some Morimoto fogs while I was at it. Not the most artistic pics, was in a hurry sorry. Oh yeah, I have the matching taillights too. Had those for a year with no issues.6KCDYELiRd2AVYt2BKXo1A.jpg fullsizeoutput_993.jpg m3wJkTqtTS6ro8xKahMK1Q.jpglWWxSfQPSsq5iigkVYfR6w.jpg
