    Hi All,

I have an annoying rattle coming from my door lock/window switch panel when playing music. I can press on the panel and the rattle goes away. Anyone else with the JBL stereo getting a rattle from the same location? If so, what did you do to solve it? Pull off the panel and dynamat? I was wondering if I could just remove the door lock/window switch panel itself without having to remove the door card and apply some felt tape. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jerad

Yeah, I'd rather fix little things myself than having some underpaid tech touch my truck. Ultimately that's what I'd do if I couldn't resolve the issue myself. Thanks though.

I had this!! Annoying clicking rattle while driving or when music was playing. The dealer put a later of felt in there to tighten it up. They did it for free and took 10 minutes because it's a common complaint at my dealer. I was going to do it myself, but didn't have to. That piece of trim covering the window controls comes straight off and you'll see the loose parts in there. It doesn't require any special skill if you want attempt to fix yourself.

Yep! I had the same thing. I took out the window control panel (it just pops up with a trim tool) and wrapped the wires in some felt tucked back down into the door opening and taped it in place around the connector end of the wires (sort of like a felt skirt around the wires). It' been quiet ever since.

Its so funny this thread came up cause I was trying to address this issue the other night on my wife's truck. I thought it was the whole door rattling so I used some leftover dynomat from another project and tried to strategically dampen the sound. It did nothing to solve it. So is it the wires rattling or is it that the control panel isn't being held tightly onto the door panel itself?

I think it was the wires, but maybe the the material I added pressed against the panel enough to stop it.

Ahh, I have the exact same problem. The dynamat I do have under there didn't resolve it. Hope I can do the same and just focus on the switch controls.

Did you remove the black window/door lock panel or the bigger grey plastic piece that connects to the door card?
    Thanks

Same issue here. I'll see if the dealer will fix it at next maintenance
