For the record, I give all LEOs the benefit of the doubt and respect until they give me a reason not to. This guy was just an a-hole.

I’ve noticed the same thing, though it’s usually traffic PD on motorcycles specifically that seem to be dicks. Had one drive up the handicap ramp on the curb at the corner of my street, drive on the sidewalk in front of my house and park on the sidewalk just before my driveway just to tell me my front window tint on my old Subaru is illegal and i better peel it off. Nothing he said was incorrect but to drive on the sidewalk and give me attitude when the car was parked in my driveway and i was just mounting a snowboard rack onto the roof was uncalled for. Then again, this particular cop had a reputation in the area for being a dick

 

I've never had an issue with local SOs but CHP and local PD both have long standing terrible reputations here locally.

Sonora PD has been trying to clean up their act though, which is good.

My wife got pulled over by an over zealous Sonora PD at 5 in the morning while she was jogging... crossed the road between crosswalks apparently. Guy traumatized her.

 

I had a motorcycle cop pull me over for front tint. Then apologized for writing me a ticket for it. Motorcycle cops are the worst.

It's all in the approach. There's absolutely nothing wrong with letting a citizen know they're breaking the law. They don't need to have an attitude while doing it.

One of my Icon shocks is leaking bad, does anyone know if there is a shop in the South Bay that can service it? Don't want to have to ship it down to San Diego to one of the shops that Icon recommends on their site.

fuck him. I support LE to the fullest. but assholes, nope.... My ride along with SAC PD left a bad impression. Dude was a complete dick the whole time, not only with me, but with the community..... I told myself, I will never be like this guy. I didn't become a cop, but I wouldn't have been a dick like dude was. I know they deal with a lot of BS, but you know what you are getting into when you swear in. Same With the Military, it aint no fucken rose garden princess

Usually CHP tends to be dicks(both my cousins are CHP, have no fucken clue how they are..lol). or traffic officers in general. I know a lot of police officers, they are human just like us. its nice when you know them..lol

oh, apperantly my cousins who worked for Chicago PD are in the DEA now. had no clue until recently. we don't keep in touch. thought that was bad ass . Hopefully they don't catch me trafficking.....
