Probably could pay a lot of the national debt down by taking the money that is given to politicians and pay it towards it.Makes me so mad to see how much money is involved in a campaign!

I received a call from the election board last Friday to work early voting. I was not assigned to work early voting but the extra $600 will come in handy this December.

I have been wanting a Cushman Meter Maid vehicle for some time. This one came up on Gov Deals and it was close to me.

    https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=273&acctid=9557

I went over and looked at it last Thursday and it looked promising. Upon inspection 2 of the wheels were wet with fluid, most likely brake cylinders. The transmission and rear end had a lot of oil on the outside housings. I figured with taxes and auction fees $700 was my limit due to the conditions I could see. The motor turns over, good sign. I figured it would make a nice little unique around town grocery getter for under $1200 once fixed up. The cost just put it over my common sense threshold. BTW the Cushman Meter Maid vehicle is classified as a motorcycle which means I can put legal tags on the vehicle.

I am also looking at an Ariens snow blower, two stage, to supplement our small 20 YO Toro. Anyone have experience with the Ariens Platinum line of blowers?

    Sink is done, yay!

And so yesterday my lawn tractor s**t the bed. Bigtime. Cracked hydro casing. It's over 20 years old so I'll be going for a full replacement. Sigh.

I need to paint my front steps where I chopped ice from them last winter. It snows about every 10 years here on the coast.

Sorry, Start looking at commercial yard tool sellers of Toro, Exmark, Scag and other top end mowers for trade ins. They all sell them. When the season is over most lawn care companies trade in the old machines for new. Try to find one with less than 800 hours on the clock.

    Lol plus my two generators...

I have had a walk behind break a cable and also an auger belt.
Just put it away and bring out the spare.
No stress. Not late for work. No rush to get it fixed.

Need to play the % of power outage.
2 to 3 times a year does not warrant a 3rd gen. Lol

Guess the small county I live in here in Kalifornia has the highest % voter turnout than any other county in the state, plus the neighboring county has the highest % of registered voters. Our county is on the mail in ballot process, largest and most efficient county in the state doing that. Not a very big county, we depend on the guvment for funds for roads and schools due to so much of the county is public land.

I didn't go with the plat on purpose.
    The plat was fuel injected.
No way I want something to technical like that for a blower.
I can fix this at the house. For the plat injected it has fuel pump, sensors. Would need special equipment I think to diagnose or replace.

The one I am looking at is not the EFI offering in the Plat line up. I am not sold on EFI on these smaller engines. If the electronics go it is an expensive fix.

I have watched a few you tubes where the guy fixes theses snow blowers. Getting to the transmission parts can be a little bit of a PITA but the parts are available and the fixes are inexpensive. Seems like if you do not abuse the machine the transmission parts and drive train will last quite a while. There is no plastic or nylon in the drive or transmission components. The shafts are supported by bearings not bushings which is a plus to me.

It is worth, to me, the extra $200 for the larger engine and the better impeller than the offering in the Deluxe line up. But then the Deluxe does have a 28in width compared to the 24 in width of the platinum.
