No I always try to ramp up on these tunes. I’ll find out about the Full Otto goodness in a week or so.

Sure would be nice if us dongleless users could get 1.05. Dongle users have had it for a week now. We all payed the same price...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but only the newest ECU dongle users have access to 1.05. Those of us with older ECU's and dongles are in the same boat as the dongleless users. Hehe.. dongle

I have a long commute so typical let economy out weigh performance. We shall see. Says the guy that has 2000 lbs of crap hanging off this taco. As long as I am in the 16ish mpg range I am happy.

Yes, 1.05 was released for 04b13 and 04A71 ECU's. If you have an older ECU version you can just do the TSB yourself and update your ECU.

I would love a full Otto 87 tune... switching to 91 would cost me $40/month that I would rather spend elsewhere..
Has Matt mentioned if an Otto 87 tune is coming in the future?

FYI I did that today, it is not hard if you have the dongle and a little computer savvy,

and lets not forget the dongle users are the ones that put their faith and $700 in Matt, a guy with zero history on TW but we leaped headfirst and tried out an unproven alpha tune on a previously non-tuneable platform and now the dongless users(late comers) can have a nice safe experience. Let the dongle users enjoy their time. Hell, we can call the dongle users early release payment for not getting one of those snazzy carrying cases all the dongless kids got.
(mind you, I bought the tune in June of last year but I'm an AT so even I don't get the early release of 1.05)

I hope so!! Just flashed 1.04r yesterday and after a tank of 91 I will say it's Dann near a whole new animal on the 91 tune. Feels much more comparable to my 4.0 6spd down low. Not on par but its a step in the right direction. I have true duals dumped before the rear tire and it most definately is noticable in exhaust tone alone. 2k to 5k it has such a nice broken up growl to it. I suppose I'm just going to finally finish my tailpipes while I wait for the new files

Cool, thanks. That was pretty much my understanding as well. I'll just wait until Matt is finished up and releases to the masses.

Lose the duals. Read up on the dirty deeds exhaust development page about what dual exhaust does to these trucks.

Well 1.05 MA 87 out of the gate is noticeably very smooth and responsive, more so than previous tunes. There's definitely some quirks but I'll give it a couple tanks to let it settle in before I say more.

I'll have to take a look, is it really that bad?? I only did it for the tone. I didn't anticipate any power gain but it did gain a little down low on stock tune. Probably nothing more than just a single exit would give. It sees probably 20-25 2nd gear redlines daily as in wot 2nd bounce limiter a couple times then grab third. And It sounds healthy as can be honestly. Granted I got it with only at 10k on it a month ago tomorrow so it's still pretty new but I'm pushing almost 14000 miles now with no less than 3k running the duals and I have 0 I'll effects. I actually gained 2mpg when I dropped the stock exhaust setup on stock tune (11.4avg up to 13.7) and now with duals and 1.04r 91 tune I can actually keep my average around 16 when I tool around and if I ease up on the skinny I've had up to 22 which astonished me.. I'm sorry for the 10 page essay but the old taco just settled into 1.04r and it was more than I had expected, I'm ecstatic haha I'm glad I bought the tune when I did cus it has me so distracted I forget about 1.05 till I see a notification on here

I'd have to agree with Keith (Dirty Deeds) I don not see true duals really being that effective on this platform. You'll never get past the biggest exhaust restriction which is built right into the cylinder head, and the engine doesn't breathe that well to begin with, pair that with a neutered 6000 rpm limit, I don't see true dual exhaust doing a whole lot vs large diameter catless single.

You'd be better off desigining dump tubes that maximize, in every possible way, extraction of exhaust out of that cylinder head. Like Multi step-sized dump tubes.
Like the Long tube PPE header on the MX5 ND skyactiv-G, I was part of the process of design on that header and it currently holds highest horsepower N/A in the world
