Unlike the delusional leaf fans from yesteryears I cant say I'm overly surprised by the Sens position thus far. We knew it was going to be a tough year. They are young and they are fast but definitely lacking in the defensive side of things. Andy has stolen some games so far but he will continue to get barraged by 40+ shots every game. It's just the realities of the team right now

 

Looks like Jonathan Quick is out indefinitely.

Ya that isn't going to help things. Ottawa is such a mess.

You know who else is a mess? Pens. I'm starting to wonder if it has reached the period where every 3 years they stop playing for their coach or listening to the message. It is pathetic how disinterested they are on 50% of their games last year and so far this year. I don't know how else that happens. They just play pick-up hockey and sometimes it works (because of the talent).

Quenneville won’t be out of a job for long. He’s not the reason Chicago is slipping backwards. That being said, I doubt he wants a situation like the Kings where the problems are similar to what the Blackhawks are going through. I could see a bubble team with a young core swapping coaches for him if he’s interested.

Not trying to over-react but if I was the Pens I would grab Coach Q. I know it won't happen, but I honestly see the Pens players drifting away from Sulli. He always has drama with certain guys and he seems like a stubborn asshole. After how quickly they lost Therrien and then again with Disco, nothing surprises me. Seems like I'm overreacting but if you look deep into how this team has been trending since the 17 Cup, it's like they don't care or don't listen. Hope I'm wrong.

But I agree, Coach Q won't be on the market for long and I don't see the Kings being a good fit either.

In other news, Chabot now leading defencemen in the NHL in points. Gotta say the kid had potential but without Karlsson there hes really upped his game to the next level.
