I think I valued sleep too much. I wasn't much of a TV or movie watcher as a kid. I was always outside, reading, skateboarding, listening to music, rc cars, model rockets etc.

The quickest way to get me to leave the room as an adult is to turn on a TV. I like TV in light amounts, but it's not my thing even as an adult.

I was pretty lucky I never had toys like the Weebles or stuff like that. Dad stayed focused on cars/trucks/models and steered clear
My strongest memory of that show is it was on at 8:00 Sunday night and that meant bedtime right after it was over. Next stop-school week:( I hated that show...

We had an Atari 2600 and a Nintendo and a 64 later on, but still wasn't interested as my siblings were in that stuff.

I may have been a bad egg just going to go to my room listen to some Slayer, read a book and maybe draw.

Hee Haw reminded me I had school the next day. I hated that show. Because it reminded me I had to go to school the next day and because it sucked.

I've recently been watching all of the different Planet Earth shows on Netflix. They are amazing. The host, David Attenborough, has a voice that will rock you right to sleep.

It's on regular HDTV here. If I come across it flipping channels, I'll watch it. Great show.

Along with Marlin Perkins, I think Jacques Cousteau had a show right after his. Used to watch both with grams in the summertime.
