I'm new to the Tacoma world and I was looking into getting some rock sliders next.

I was wondering if there is a huge difference between CBI AND CALIRAISED as far as build quality and design?

Curious as well...also, which is more effective at warding off parking lot door dings?

From the photo's I have seen, I believe the Caliraised as the 15 or 20 degree angle to it.. I cant tell about the CBI.. I would imagine the one with 0 angle would be better for that. I have been looking for the exact same reason haha.

Caliraised has a 25 and 0 degree that can be used as steps. I have the 0 degree

Judging by that pic, it looks like it provides much better ding protection than my stock "predator" steps

Some lady opened her door and smacked the sliders... she looked at me pretty terrified but joke was on her. Not a ding or scratch on the sliders haha.

TW and RCI are having a group buy sale right now, 10% off sliders. RCI have 5 degree sliders with kick out and top tread plate available.

Caliraised has some nice sliders for a fair price and their in SoCal.
I waiting for black Friday sale, then I'll order and drive in and have them install them
I'm looking for the weld on option
I'll probably have some led lights installed at the same time.

    Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your consideration on our sliders. We have two options on our sliders our 0 Degree and 25 degrees Here are some big things we like to note about our product.

    1) Lead Time: Our lead time is about 3 weeks or less depending on what option you choose. Most companies have about a 2 month waiting period.
    2) Quality: Made from DOM 1.75" tubing, we don't upcharge you for better material or for features like kick outs. Our sliders are made the best way we know how for the best fit and protection standard, no upcharge.
    3) Bolt on or Weld-On: You can choose between Bolt-On or Weld-On. Bolt-On sliders come with all the required hardware you need for the install and are installed with ZERO modification to your truck.

Again thank you for your interest in our sliders. If you have any questions about them feel free to shoot us a pm or give our shop a call at 714-752-6315.
    Thanks
    -Jake

News flash. Sliders are made for protecting your rocker panels not door dings. What happens if the vehicle you park next to is taller? You can repair alot of door dings for the price of sliders

True, but it's a nice side benefit of the sliders

The Caliraised sliders look really nice but have you seen their installation process? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbiEp9R-QlQ

The installation process with the CBI Sliders doesnt require you to remove as many things from your truck and it doesnt require any cutting like the Caliraised sliders do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZZUOdqVr7E

Edit: The CBI Sliders also say that they support the weight of the vehicle on their product page, it doesnt say that on the Caliraised page.

Has the CBI angled sliders on my 2010, installed the CBI 0 deg. with top plates on my 2020. I really like the flat platform, they look good, and like anything from CBI are durable as they come. I believe sliders from any reputable company are pretty much sliders; weld quality, material quality, and power coating quality all pretty equivalent. I think one of the biggest things to consider is how they install. I’m pretty impressed with how the CBI ones are engineered and it’s something that two people in a driveway should be able to handle.
