there was a z with those wheels at the junkyard 2 weeks ago.. if i get a chance this sunday i'll go see if theyre there and grab em

 

I watched a couple of burn outs at the one in Redding just grinding through removing tires on alloys and chucking them in a bin. It's kind of a shit deal if if need an OEM alloy.

Huh that's weird, here and in WA they left them scattered around the vehicles after they put them up on stands. Nice cause you can get a wheel for like $15 and caps for like $2 and you can use them as a ladder while you wrench haha.

I'd appreciate that, they're hard to come by and the ones for my vintage of Z don't fit the middle diameter of my wheels, only these ones do.

 

Same here at Pick Your Parts, wheels are removed from all vehicles before they are placed on stands in the yard. But there's an area where they stockpile all the rims after taking off the tires. Might have better luck at a Nissan or Z car specific junkyard but the price will be higher.

 

The main Pick-n-Pull in Rancho Cordova has a lil room with wheels and tires for sale. Never anything good though.

Sometimes, certain yards will have a few sets of good wheels for sale near the checkout. I passed up a beautiful set of W210 AMG wheels, wish I picked them up - but we just got new tires for the E320 and the AMG wheels were like 20" I believe.

 

Z cars aren't really scrapped so much as Z specific shops hoard them for their own builds and fixing customer cars :/ So either a normal yard or someones backyard haha

 

NLA from Nissan i assume? i know for a fact it was a z like yours. and the wheels looked like that. i dont remember if the center caps were there though. the interior was picked clean and alot of other shit was gone. but the wheels were there (corroded to hell but there)

 

No they're out there but I'm not paying $250 for a set of plastic center caps. A lot of people take the wheels from the newer Z32 and stick em on my generation so I wouldn't be surprised to see one like mine wearing them. I want to jam the caps in the wheels I bought from an Infiniti G35 Sedan

 

Redding is the same a few wheel and tire combos at the checkout, but it's mostly bogan quality stuff like beat Rotas and such

 

Yeah I could see that, I've never seen one at the local Pick Yor Parts here. I've never needed to go to a Nissan junkyard so not sure if they still have em or not.

Are those centers something you just like to have or really want? They're like $40 for set of 4 used ones on ebay.

I will say this also about the Redding one. I pulled more eBay euro car gold out of that yard than any other i've been to

 

No way this thing is worth $120, right? The Bug is a fairly common car.
