It was one year ago today, at about 1PM, Asshat was escorted out the front door and told to have no contact with anyone still employed with the club.

    We all cheered!

OK..One of my employees is leaving. That means I'm training his replacement. THAT means cant take vacation days. As soon as that situation is resolved (3 weeks?) It's time to put the Tru-Trac in. This will be the 4th TT I've had (2 Jeep CJs and a 77 Bronco) Love em. Most streetable way to go on front diff IMHO. Almost 60 mile round trip commute 6 days a week make me think in those tems. No way to really quantify, but Tru-Tracs seem to me to be something to the effect of 75% of a true locker in terms of what it provides. Makes a sizable difference and no bad habits.

That's the Only thing I miss goin' from the Ranger to the Taco, a true "Posi" rear end but now that you mention it a true Trac for the front makes perfect sense. Gonna see if I can land one on a Black Friday sale. Think I'll start out by getting the ass end done first.

I've got the TRD OR rear locker. Seems to do it's job very well. Just wanted the front to provide a little more ability. True lockers and mud tires in the front don't make for a very street friendly set up.

30K+ a year of street driving, and I have to consider that when I make changes.

Ebay....$228 inc. freight. Wasnt ready to buy yet but neither was anyone else apparently. Heck of a buy!

Tru Trac isn't a locker per se. It's a planetary gear driven "limited slip" unit. They don't ratchet when turning. I had 2 Jeeps and a '77 Bronco with 'em in the front. Very mild mannered on street and 75%+ effective when compared to a true locker.

I do north of 30K miles a year, of which MAYBE 300 or 400 is off road. I'm looking for added traction but without the negatives of a front locker.

4 years ago I was recovering from a major traffic accident. 3 years ago, I was about to undergo cancer surgery. Both turned out good.

That said, I will ALWAYS understand and appreciate just how lucky I am.

My hope for you is, this day has a wonderful meaning and you have much to be thankful for as well.

    Bill,

    1) You make me REALLY want to work on my truck (back to stock suspension, still need to order parts- two jobs sucks)

    2) If you ever come to the conclusion that it’s time to sell your truck, contact me first. I’ll drive to you and give you a fair price, and take good care of her.

    3) Happy thanksgiving. I hope we can wheel together again soon. I have my hands full at the moment with an 8 month old and the wife is pregnant again... :help:
