Auto lock the tailgate and hose clamp from the bottom. Same as locking the rear on an SUV.

It's a vicious circle, gets stolen, buy it from ebay. Or collecting tailgates may be the next best thing to survive the next economic bust?

I have had mine on a good while and no rust. But I will check again later today to be sure.

    Uummmm no...

I was looking for side steps on Craigslist and saw quite a few tailgates. It made me curious so I started to look around and saw them on offer up.

I'm the OP of this thread and do not know the seller of the lock system nor do I own one yet. I will likely install the washers on the upper bolts.... Or ... Would it be removable if you turned around the cables which would not allow a thief to disconnect them???

I just installed the SaBellCo tailgate "lock" took about 20 minutes because I was extra careful and in no hurry so at least I'll keep the tailgate. I did have a "Pop and Lock" on the tailgate but after several years, the lock broke so I couldn't unlock the tailgate. Now searching for something of better quality.

Pop ' n locks wiuld be great if their quality were on par with the idea but sadly their stuff is just too cheaply made and doesn't last.
