    Griefing is inevitable, but as @jhodge83 said below, Bethesda has implimented a number of measures to minimize... asshole behavior. FWIW, I haven't run into anyone griefing in my time on the BETA.

The toxic players who think they're edgy by not giving a damn about anyone else but their own amusement by senselessly engaging in behavior detrimental to another player's experience. That guy whom you've never met and who comes along and kills you and destroys all your hard work for shits and giggles, or just goes on a murderous rampage against any and all other players? That's a griefer.

    They're causing you grief, hence "griefing".
