I personally think firing Coach Q was a mistake, Although we do need a shake up. I just think it was the wrong position. I think it should be Bowman who should be fired instead of Coach Q.

Also the Leafs cleared a roster spot by sending someone down to the AHL this morning without bringing anyone up. Either Matthews is the worlds fastest healer or Nylander is going to sign.

Seriously WTF are they doing using Uber? They're a bunch of millionaires, do they really need to save $3 over taking a taxi?

 

Its a tough one, but with last season and the last 4 games of this season I was kind of expecting it or expecting something.

On the trips I take for work Uber is usually more reliable than a cab. I'm guessing they hit up dinner or something somewhere and needed a quick ride so they did the Uber. You can't always take limos and town cars, they aren't as easy to arrange a quick pickup with.

I heard on the radio that the Uber driver actually has a legal leg to stand on which is weird. In Arizona only someone in the group has to know they are being filmed. Since technically the cameraman is in the car and knows he's being filmed, he didn't need to tell the players. I agree he shouldn't of posted something like that where privacy is a grey area but you also can't fault him if he knew it was legal. The players should of known better than to run their mouths anywhere where people might overhear them including that driver.

Still, why not take the same shifts as the guy then and hit him once he actually has the puck lol. I’ve always figured if there’s a big hit a player wants to take issue with that they should either make a statement immediately or wait for a legal opportunity.

 

He is a neanderthal, there is no doubt about that. I didn't see the supposed incident that triggered it, however. But I do get annoyed by the fight after a clean, hard hit. Like what happened with Ian Cole the other day. You can't say that you don't want hitting taken out of the game, but also defend the action of starting a fight after a clean, hard hit. If you want hitting to be a part of the game, then when it happens cleanly, dust your ass off and keep playing.

Now something like Lemieux did to Trocheck the other day, that I can see triggering a fight or someone going after him (which did happen). But that was a dirty hit to begin with on Lemieux's part.

 

Good to see Lucic pound another sly hackster, it helps keep the game clean.
