It's always going to show as a white background when you preview a file with a transparent one, just the way the computer generates the preview. There has to be some kind of background there for that. But when you open the file in an editing software it will show up as a transparent file and you can lay it over something else or make a cutout of it, etc.

It’s a No-Go. Nice guy, he does have the title. However, it looks like the truck was wrecked two years ago. $700 in DMV and CHP backfees.

Not to mention he can’t transfer the title without a SMOG check. And he’ll fail instantly on the account that it’s an I4 VIN and not a v6 VIN.

I can’t believe they can do that for the skeleton of a truck, if it was running and drivable it’d make more sense.

heard about that on the radio this AM, that's funny. Although I guess if some towns can have a dog elected as mayor, why not a dead guy? Idyllwild out here not far from LA has a golden retriever 'Max' as town mayor, lol

If that 5-lug engine has about 350,000 less miles, it would be in my PreRunner by now.

I should know better by now than to wander into their threads but I still do from time to time. Some dude in one last night accused me of driving drunk and making overall poor decisions in life because I use the time it takes to air up my tires to have a flippin' beer, lol. People love to be so freaking dramatic and jump to worst case scenario conclusions in the 3rd gen section.

Not with OSX Preview. When I create transparent images in Photoshop, a truly transparent image will have a gray background matching the color of the program window. It showing white tells me the image is not truly transparent.

That’s for .PNG at least. I’ve never worked with Illustrator .EPS, .SVG, or .AI files before so my rule could be wrong depending on how the file type behaves.

Well technically what he is planning on doing is against the law. You can’t swap a cab from a wrecked truck and put it on another truck with different everything.

The DMV stills thinks this is a running and driving vehicle.

We use Mac at work and it always shows white backgrounds on transparent files with the preview function (in Finder anyway). I'm pretty sure we're updated to the latest OS but maybe not...whenever I make a transparent file to send I always use .PNG. I really only work in Photoshop or Indesign though, don't really ever use Illustrator.

I mainly use Photoshop too. Illustrator is black magic to me. I’ve used Photoshop since CS5 came out.

Oh my God I don't think I've ever used my horn for so long in one stretch. Some old dude in a 3rd gen was doing 5mph on a highway interchange. And by the time we got on the next highway which acerage about 70-75mph speeds he was doing maybe 20 I laid on the horn the entire time until when I had to lay on the cruiser yard to get from 20 to 75. I was leading a fucking parade of people from behind this old bastard and the cruiser was singing the song of my pissed off people. He had the audacity to give me the finger when I first applied the horn so I gave him a matching salute as I passed.

An older Photographer I used to assist never uses layers in Photoshop because he learned back when that feature wasn't a part of the program....I just can't even imagine how or why anyone wouldn't use layers

Illustrator is complicated...knowing both programs really well is a good skill set to have but they're both different beasts even though they share a lot of the same tools.

You can’t just go swapping cabs and frames around all willy nilly. Everything has a VIN stamped on it. If the engine or the transmission type doesn’t match the VIN, it’s a red flag.

I even can’t even begin comprehend how he is going to manage getting it legal. He might have to register it as a “kit car” or a new construction with the California BAR.

California is very strict when it comes to modifying vehicles.

You can swap cabs and frames all you want in the free states. Cali, yeah who knows, we don't go there anymore

They already have a heart attack if I decide to change the air intake, let alone swap the damn cab.
