No Thank You! I love them! It was a little late when I finished my install but I can’t wait to test them out tomorrow :) The position of the Extrusion Crossbar on the SDHQ Mount is perfect. I have about an inch in the from between the front set of horns and the grill and then I have about an inch in the back. The width I wanted it to look like it was meant to be as much as possible so I did a custom 32” Crossbar for the full length. I absolutely love it. Plus, using the extrusion Crossbar makes it easy for mounting purposes. In the future, if I ever need to move something, it will be easy to do so.

I have to say that I'm pretty jealous of all the space you 3rd gen guys have to work with....

Me too, you can barely fit your hand behind the first gen grille. You can fit your whole torso behind the third gen grille. Haha.

@icetreye & @BartMaster1234: Please correct me if I'm wrong, there must have been some bracket bending to achieve this type of mounting method, right?
@BartMaster1234: If the above mounting method is achievable with a little bracket bending, I might just be interested on the next group buy. Are you able to confirm if I could simply mount the 2nd set right on top of the one I have with a little bracket bending?

No bracket bending is possible, you need some kind of hydraulic press to bend the thick steel the brackets are made from.

The brackets themselves are different. The ‘C’ bracket is the most common, the ones in his setup that sit in front of the ‘C’ bracket Horns is from a different type of vehicle.

I see. With the horns I got from you, am I able to achieve the same mounting as @icetreye?

I don’t remember what variation of horns I sent you, but if you wanted to mount it like he did you’d need the two “L” bracket horns and two “C” bracket horns which I believe I only sent to him due to limited stock.

You could probably achieve this with four “C” bracket horns, however I don’t know if it’ll clear the grille.

I see. That's good to know. I took a picture to give you an idea of the space I have. If I want to mount a 2nd set on top of mine, would you need to modify my set to accomodate the 2nd?IMG_20181106_105223.jpg

I’d have to do some research on this. You want another set for a total of eight, you say?

If I could mount a 2nd set right around the same area where mine is, I would love another set.

I haven't heard a set of these horns honked in a lot of years, but today, I got out of my Taco and was walking towards the supermarket when I heard the familiar sound! An older gentleman in his 80s Buick blared the horn several time at some ravens trying to scare them into flight. Worked on most of them, some must have figured out, that big lump of steel wasn't coming onto the sidewalk after them. Forgot how good the horns sound!

My horn doesn't even work anymore, pretty sure its the ribbon cable in the steering wheel... If wheel turned to extremes, it'll typically sound, once strait, nothing... I assume this wont fix that

No, you’d need a new clockspring.
