A few additions to make me feel cool.
Welcome. We will need more information on what truck you have. Year, engine and so on.

Can you try another dealer or is that the only one near you? Yeah it's a new truck but the fundamentals of getting an engine to start didn't change in 2016. If they are rendered useless because there is no code, and it happens often, then they are either being very lazy or really don't know what they are doing to begin with.

If they can't figure it out because it doesn't happen all the time, ask to leave your truck with them so they can start it multiple times until it happens. Or is it completely sporadic and goes months without happening?

As a cheap trouble shooting option, I'd replace the key FOB battery. When trouble shooting, start with the simplest/cheapest fixes first.

Is it a push button start with a proximity fob? If it were, I'd wonder if that were the point of random failure.

That started with my truck about a week ago, today trying to go to work it didn't start. So I changed the battery, loose terminal. Now that I've done that the engine turns or clicks but it won't start. Did anyone figure what was happening with OP's related issue?

This more than likely is your problem....or battery connection.

If it clicks, bad battery cell or low.

Idk I just purchased a new Platinum AGM battery and replaced a loose terminal but still only clicks. Everything works such as lights but just won't start.

If starter doesn’t even click or turn over - starter solenoid.
If starter turns over but does not start - the rule of three: fire/fuel/air
Fire: do we have spark? Coil packs?
    Air: Valves/Timing/choke/MAF?
    Fuel: pump, rails, injectors?
Immobilizer will disable these if key fob is not signaling. Use the fob to actually push the start. It will still recognize it in close proximity.

Dang. Happened to my truck this morning. 2018 TRDOR with proximity key/push to start and only 17,000 miles. Truck cycles through the accessory modes, but won't fire. Tugged on the battery cables and they felt snug. Didn't want to be late to work, so I took my wife's car.

Didn't have time to try the other proximity key or test the battery with a voltmeter.

No offense but those batteries are PIA...Id suspect your battery is dead/dying.

Update on mine: My voltmeter read 12.45. Tried jumping it myself with my wife's car with no luck. Called Roadside Assistance and they also tried jumping it with no luck. I checked most of the fuses that looked related to ignition/engine/inj and I didn't find any blown fuses. I'm getting the same result with both of my fobs. Tow truck driver didn't think it was my battery and he went through a checklist of a few things that pretty much ruled out the battery. Had to get it towed to the dealer.

Dealer had it for 4 hours yesterday with no resolution. Waiting to hear from them today.

Well tell them they better fucking find out. And if it still under warranty they better pay for it.

Update #2: Just got off the phone with the dealer, they think the rear brake control module was deactivated or it failed. Could also be a connection issue involving the module.

Apparently, the push to start button isn't dependent on depressing the brake pedal. It's dependent on the truck's brake module being able to send/receive an electric signal to the rear brakes. No rear brakes = no ignition.
