I don't see any leak on the housing itself, I see the rot right before the 2 pipes pass under the manifold. I do understand what you are saying about getting the pipe out of the housing & the extension that you are talking about. I was thinking I could take the housing & pipe out together if I can't slip the pipe out & spray it up & maybe work it off. so I'll be trying to get all o-rings & gaskets associated with that area.
But if you think I need that kit, I'll call Magnuson & order it.

 

If the leak isn’t from the extension to the housing, then yes you can do what you’re talking about.

I actually paid a shit ton of money for that extension kit. And I shopped around. I’ll have to find that place that sold Magnuson parts. It was literally 1/3 the cost.

 

I think I found the o ring:

Got some stuff back from powdercoating today. Tundra caliper upgrade for xrunner. And rim rings for my rock warrior wheels on tundra.

 

You're right the valve covers would look nice like that.

 

Yup, I went directly to Magnuson for pulleys last year, saved a ton of dough!

Tundra calipers on a Tacoma? This is new to me. Need to upgrade me brakes at some point.

 

I was able to get that extension out of the previous S/C owner’s housing just by twisting and rocking it out. But how stuck it is, will vary between each one I’m sure. When I first had the tube in place it was leaking right at that O-ring and was a pita to push in without it pinching, almost like it was too big.

 

Hard to tell, taco’s comes with more than decent enough brakes, but with more horse power comes more braking responsibility!

How did do acquire the tundra calipers?.....got part numbers? And or all part numbers needed for a tundra big brake swap? That would probably be a much cheaper alternative than purchasing a 4 or 6 piston stop tech big brake kit.....

It's been a few days since I checked in. How's everyone doing, are all fires under control as of right now? No questions?

 

I no longer have the part numbers but you can go to the dealer and ask for the Tundy caliper that fits the 336mm/13.3” rotor. Also found on the Sport edition/limited 4th Gen 4runners. What I did was, I swapped the smaller calipers out of the taco to my wife’s 4Runner and vice versa so she could run a 16” wheel and I could benefit from bigger brakes. Worked out for both of us!

Tons of great info though. I think the reason most of the slightly and way off topic questions get proposed here because of the valuable information/members not to mention significantly less judgmental responses for wanting to go faster.
