$81 for a lift that does what you want it to. To heck with what anyone else thinks.

Came across this thread and thought I'd share what I did on my 2016 DCLB. I'm no expert but I bought and installed the KSP Performance 3"F+2"R leveling kit. It was simple to install and it allowed me to run the TRD Pro rims with 285/70/17's which was my goal.
I do very little true "off-road" and more fire road and beach driving. So far the ride has been fine. That said I did not have the funds for a true lift and as I am saving for my GFC I'm hoping I don't have any of the noted issues... So here's the after photo.

No I did not. Took the advice from a friend who does lifts etc and so far so good....
I have since emailed him with some of the noted concerns here and I'll come back his response.

Maybe i wont be saying it so lightly but i dont value your opinion from sitting behind a keyboard. I trust the words from the people at Bilstein and the local off road shop whom is very well regarded and think they are more experienced than an internet mechanic. Not trying to start an issue but I think these people know more than I and based on your opinion feel they know more than what I have read in your post. Your welcome to pm me and I can give you the names and numbers to the shop and sources of my information so you can know who, when where and how.

People may not like it but I agree with you on this. At the end of the day you drive it and if you want to go cheaper on the lift, do it. Thanks for sharing your budget friendly lift kit. I know I would not be able to tell if you had an $80 kit or an $800 dollar kit just by looking at it from a far. Its like arguing with people who plasti dip their emblems for 5 bucks because they just want the look but people shit on them for not spending a $100 on overlays or 5 hours of work removing, painting and re-attaching the emblems. You obviously have the skills to do the work yourself so even if they do crack/break/fail or whatever, it's not like you spent a ton of money and you can always reinstall new ones just as easily. Good luck and post pics of the before and after as well as if it did impact ride quality or anything else you noticed.

I understand and except your opinion as we’ll, but I’m not a keyboard mechanic, believe me. Honestly, you seem set in your ideas, so I’ll leave it be for now. I HIGHLY doubt anyone at Bilstein has stated such information either, unless they are lying to you to simply sell you on their product they’re selling, which most aftermarket truck shops will, because they want the business.

Take a picture of your CVs & UCAs with the front wheels off the ground from the front of the truck looking up into the suspension if you can.

I was asking for the community because others may want to get this lift.

Plus I wanted to see how your CVs look with tires off the ground to see any binding.

    Apologies I should have clarified.

No worries I’ll leave the thread

No worries man. I should have clarified “whenever is ideal”. It’s the holiday weekend.

    My bad.

Dude...you're wrong. When you crank up coilovers you are compressing the coil and increasing preload which is what gives you more lift and stiffer ride. I think you dont understand the concept of preload.

Truck looks good. Amazing what people chime in with. Very obvious many have no idea on how adjustable coilovers work...but still feel the need to chime in.

You seem pretty arrogant for making this statement to another member asking for pictures (that can be taken off a jack) to help them in a possible lift decision. I bet your a liberal to lol
