It's the Trans Alta trail in Alberta, Canada. About 35 min west of Calgary and about 20 min east of Canmore.

Kind of an old river bed/ rock quarry with cold spring water, mountains. Its a fun one that is easy so you can do it alone without worrying to much.

I feel the same way about my Tacoma. I love it.

I picked it up at the dealership on March 3, 2017. TRD Off-Road Access Cab. Prior to that I had a 2004 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I have not experienced most of the issues some others have reported with their 3rd Gen Taco's. I really didn't have automatic transmission shift issues, but I did feel an improvement when I had the TSB upgrade performed.

I did have one significant problem but it was immediately taken care of under warranty. That's what new vehicle warranties are for. My vehicle got stuck in 4-wheel drive high. The transfer case had to be disassembled for repairs so I was out of a vehicle for a couple weeks. They never had an issue with my lift or larger tires. My rental loaner was a Nissan Frontier 4x4 pickup. I was sure glad when I got my Tacoma back!

    I do love my Tacoma!!!!!!!!!!!

Note also posted in CB thread.

Finished my three night install of my Uniden Beartracker 885 mounted in center console box.
    • Combo CB/Scanner.
    • 25 watt amplified external speaker hidden mount under drivers seat such that volume control is accessible when console lid is shut.
    • Small PC fan hidden under to vent heat to rear.
    • Two antennas:
      • The CB antenna is the Cobra HG A1000 mag mount which specs out in the 26-30 MHz range (should cover the 26.965-27.405)...but unlike the plethora of 1/2 and 1/4 wave (loaded or not) I pondered, I eventually realized I use the CB 95% of the time to roast my brothers and buddies to get the heck out of my way!
      • The Scanner antenna is a TRAM 1094 - that specs out to ranges: 30mhz-50mhz/144mhz-174mhz/430mhz-520mhz/800mhz-950mhz - nearly identical to the scanner.
      • Both tuned to perfection.
    • All wiring is routed and hidden under all the console panels. I took all the console apart and scoped out the optimal location below (at unit back) so the wiring isn’t kinked etc.
Still leaves plenty of room for a J-Frame or general stash in the console.

    Boxed up: (Normal operations)
    Box open: (Access controls etc.)
    Mic accessible:
Ext. amplified speaker with volume easily reached tactically. Note: shown with seat all the way back. Virtually invisible when seat is in normal position.
Cobra antenna - mostly for trail use so 3-4 mile range is all I care about.
Check out the SWR reading: 1.00 on the nose!
Scanner is very cool, it follows GPS so scans local frequencies and alerts when airwave traffic is nearby. Lots of simple buttons, easy to operate without looking. Solid Uniden scanner. Some higher end features (named frequencies e.g.) are given up for auto features, very fair trade off as I don’t actually look at the unit to use it. I’m researching how to hack the frequencies list to make my own favs, shouldn’t be too hard as the upload software is dot net based.
CB is, well a CB. One cool feature is you can have CB in scan mode if desired. Good squelch and RF gain. I set the lcds to blue to match the dash motifs.

Overall I’m very pleased with the unit’s performance, and frankly with my successful install of a full DIN cleanly in a Taco!

This is seriously cool and I wish I had half your talent. And, I only understood about half of it as well. Too bad you don't do installs, I have a CB I need installed.
