I hope you didn't remove the drain plug first......

**Spray some PB blaster on it and let it soak for 15 minutes or so.
**Try putting a vice grip on it, really really tight.
**Try using a file, and file off the edges to make them 'square' again in hopes you can get any kind of 6-point socket on it. File it enough to get down to the next smallest socket size if you can (metric or standard).

**If you can file the edges down to the next size with a good tight fit, then hopefully you have (or know someone) who has an air compressor and impact wrench you can try on it.

Once you get it repaired enough to try again you might try useing a bottle jack under the wrench since there's not much space for leverage under there with a cheater bar.

yes, i did drain it 1st:facepalm:!

i sprayed pb blast on it, let it set for a few.

i will try to file & put a smaller socket on it. i went & bought a 24mm 6pnt socket. got it on there, still not budging. started slipping off after trying it a time or 2.

i have an air compressor & impact wrench. guess i shoulda already tried that!

First try Vice Grips...If that doesn't work, get a small torch (doesn't have to be a torch set or anything, just a small propane torch will do) and head up around the bolt, and the head of the bolt. Then try with the Vice Grips again.

Tapping the head with a hammer will help dislodge some of the rust.
Not too much heat or beating, though.

Hammer a socket on to it, then use an impact wrench.

I had this done when the key for my locking lug nut broke on my 4runner. It worked like a charm.

Nooo wait, try this first, take a socket the closest size to it, and fill it full of Jb weld, hammer it on there the best you can and let it sit the instructed time and then it should just come right out

At Least you got it out. Next time anything like this happens, Try and TIGHTEN it first. If any resistance as you begin to loosen, go tight. Sometimes that will be just enough to break the bind. An old trick learned, taught and used in the Air Force wrenching jets.

Just something to keep in your hat....
