    Made it halfway through the week. The sun is out. We don’t have to listen to those crappy political commercials anymore... and my hilux light up 4x4 switch comes from Thailand today. Gonna be a good day! Don’t think I’ll get this done in time for the RI trail ride (want to swap out light bulb colors from the stock hilux blue), but I am psyched about the prospect of a lit up 4x4 switch.

    The other section to my grill showed up, that'll get installed tonight so I'll be running the depot TRD Grille this evening!

    Found an issue with my 3rd Gen which may make it have to go to the dealer... well, two issues.

    First issue, when I try to put fuel in it - the vent must be fucked up because it overflows. Yesterday it flowed quite a bit onto my paint...needless to say I was NOT happy.

    Second issue is, around 1500 - 2300 RPM there is a slight stumble unfortunately...if it shifts gears it's fine.

    That's an absofuckinglutely hard pass my friend... my last truck had PAINTED pin striping and I absolutely hated it.... haha

    Had some things fall through job wise so the next mod will be nice tints, then comes HID / LED's then a lift!

    Business trip up to MA today...nice way to break up the week, especially with the sun being out.

    Had the oil changed in my new 4R yesterday at Toyota of Stamford, reasonably pleasant and pain-free experience. The oil change wasn't covered under Toyota Care (they recommend first oil change at 10k miles which I wasn't going to wait for, too paranoid for that) but they did rotate tires, top off fluids, etc etc under the program. Would give them a shot if anyone needs local dealer service.

    I’m always willing to lend a hand. I’m by no means an expert but the write ups on this are thorough. The wiring seems like the easy part. Changing the bulbs will be the bigger challenge (should you want to do this with yours). Based on what other people said, changing the bulbs requires some soldering. Not beyond me, but it’s been a couple years if I’m being honest.

    And that whiskey in the coffee sounds great. Calm the nerves when your taking apart a brandy new 4x4 switch, just to change from blue bulbs to match factory white.
