Wouldn’t that be classified as an sbr and if so that’s another headache in this commie state..I mean it could be built into a pistol with brace if someone was inclined to do so I guess

Thanks for posting. I'm almost due for a new battery. Running the original for 4.5 years and 115k miles so far. Slow to crank when it's been come in the mornings.

My understanding its the lower that determines if its a pistol or SBR.

If your lower has a stock, adding that upper would make it an SBR. If your lower has a pistol brace, it would be a pistol and good to go.

Once a lower has a stock, it is deemed to always be a rifle (not a pistol) so changing the stock to a pistol brace would still make it an SBR.

barrel has to be 16" or have a pinned muzzle device to make it 16" for it to be a rifle with a stock on it. Anything less you'll need an sbr stamp or use a brace

^^ Yep. I noticed Colt has a factory rifle with 14.5” heavy barrel with a welded muzzle device to get it to 16”. Pretty cool and Maryland legal. But you can’t mount a supressor since the muzzle device is welded which kind of blows

My cousin has a similar Colt that's from the early 90's. This is the best pic I have of it.

So far I'm loving my new Kel-Tec 12ga. I keep 7 buckshot shells in one barrel & 7 birdshot shells in the other barrel for bear and snake defense. My next purchase is gonna be a AK47. I'm gonna stop in that WV gun shop this weekend.

Yep, that's a nice HBAR. It wouldn't surprise me if he and I purchased them from the same place. Shooter's Discount in Mount Airy sold hundreds of those guns that they got as law enforcement trade ins. The owner, Lou, has since passed away and the shop is no more. But it was the cat's ass back in the day.

He bought it from a coworker last year for a grand. Last month when he brought it up to my place to shoot was the first time I saw one. It shot nice.

Just about got that single wide trailer cut up & hauled off that new piece of property. Can't wait to get this eyesore gone. Next I plan to cut down more dead trees to open up the mountain view, keeping me busy.
