Yeah, again why I told you to stay light, it effects everything. Your truck is rated to tow as it comes from the factory anything you do to the drivetrain will fuck with it. The good news is you can fuck with it the other way and increase the mechanical advantage too, but you haven't helped yourself with that thusfar

I plan on towing that trailer long distances, I'm talking state to state. Would I be okay? Loaded, it should be 1,200 max.

You'll encounter 10 times worse just coming to AZ and even that's nothing compared to what you'll find beyond that haha

1,200 ain't gonna matter, since your truck is so woefully undergeared and underpowered for it's transmission you really should get a good trans cooler and a temp gauge. I rely on my gauges when towing, I don't hardly push the limit with my massive trans cooler but I have enough engine to let it lock up, your poor thing is gonna encounter wind resistance effectively making it harder to tow as well and I can only imagine it barely locks up unloaded going up a grade as is

I'll put a transmission cooler and a gauge in it.

Point being, will I be okay? I'm not trying to wreck my transmission. I'll sell the damn thing if I have to.

It won't wreck it if you drive accordingly and be prepared. 1,200lbs is fine for sure. But I've driven your truck (not actually yours but one like it) and I know it can barely haul it's own weight around without stressing the trans a bit, let alone extra weight. So if you have a cooler, and a temp gauge, and you try to keep it locked as often as possible you won't roast the poor bastard. You just can't drive like normal, when towing everything is different.

I was talking about my little 5x8 enclosed trailer I use for my business, which I plan taking from state to state. Max 1,200 loaded.
