Morning everyone. Happy Friday eve.

Using up some of the 7.5 days off I still have left. Taking a half day so I can clean the leafs... yard is a mess.

I'm not very handy, but I sure as hell don't mind helping as long as others know what they're doing, and direct me. Let's do it!

 

Should still be in my opinion...we can send them to war but we can't give em a beer?!?

 

I used to live in Manchester! Just off Pine st at the old mill apts. I loved living in new England while I did. So beautiful.

 

But all that sweet public land to wheel in out west makes up for it, right? In all seriousness, I do love it here in New England.

 

Yes, I do love the mountains and scenery here also. But I miss all the trees, and lakes around Connecticut and Rhode island.

 

Jealous of that half day off.

I was itching to take a half day tomorrow to work on swapping out lights in the 4x4 switch. I pulled the back cover off last night just to see what it looks like, and damn, those are some small contact points for the led’s. I don’t want to rush it so I think I’ll brush up on the soldering skills some time this weekend before I attack this one.

 

Post up some pics of it all when you do it. Since I had someone swap out the LED colors for me I don't know what it all looks like, but interested in seeing it.

 

Burning my days off too. took Friday off (of course we're expecting rain!). So Happy Friday all.

Bed swap should be easy. Remove tail lights (4 screws, unplug harness X2), 6 bolts underneath, couple screws at gas filler cap, 6 guys lift bed up & over the filler neck & place out of way, install new bed is reverse. How hard could that be? LOL! Way easier than soldering tiny contacts.

When I turned 18 drinking age was 18. When I turned 19 drinking age went to 21, but I was grandfathered - at home. At college no grandfathering, so when at school I couldn't drink, but when back home I could.
I would like drinking age to be 18, but 13 or 16 legal at home with parental supervision. Kids need to learn to handle alcohol at home so they don't go nuts when they first get access w/ friends. the old sip of wine/beer at dinner w/ family. IMO. HATE that parents can be arrested for responsibly teaching their kids how to handle alcohol. Nuts.

 

It's a fucked up society we live in.

By the way, feel free to come by and help with the cleanup this afternoon. Our mutual friend took this week off and he's coming by to help me with the clean up. LOL

 

I'm off tomorrow. Working 10-10 today. :-(

Just dropped my truck off to be looked at for the filler neck and hopefully the TSB for studdering.

 

They’re quick around here.. tech just took it for a drive.

 

So they said that it’s up to date on all TSB’s and that there are no major issues. Stated that the studdering I’m feeling is typical with the 6spd transmissions and recommended just leaving it in 4th gear or sport mode so it doesn’t gear hunt.

 

What about the other issue, about the fuel?!

 

Agreed to be a pump issue, the tech and I went and got fuel with no issue.

Currently working on installing my new grill.
