Last night the building committee had a meeting. They're now able to see hard numbers on the cost of the remodeling. They raised 1.4 mil. THEN they started getting estimates. THEN they decided to do about 3 times the work originally proposed for the golf course. OK....Results last night....They have $775,000 left to do 1.1 mil worth of remodeling. SO....Department heads were notified via Emails that we discovered in our in box this morning, that we are now "responsible" to find cost cutting measures in our depts. to save the $335K it takes to fill the shortfall.

Wonderful.

We've been on a bare bones budget for 4 years. There is nothing left to cut. I included a note in my 2019 budget submittal that stated I did not (for the first time in 29 years) expect that my budget goal was attainable as it was. Here we go again. Come on August 5th.

I’ve been exchanging emails with the architects for the chicken coop since 6:30 this morning. They’re in a fancy office, I’m parked around the corner from my sons school, emailing from my truck while surfing memes. Lol

 

Oh no! I’m too skinny for this weather!

 

It was 17 @ 4AM & the carney said "Do you wanna go faster"!

I killed a couple last night with a bow and arrow, also got some rabbits with my pistol, got a duck or two as well.

One year ago today, Asshat was escorted out the front door, never to be heard from again.

Champagne and party favors will be handed out @ 1PM.

 

We do miss the Asshat stories.

 

For shits and giggles, I contacted the poor sap that has my same position at Asshat's NEW home. After an initial hesitation, he opened up a little. Told me that there was a mass exodus being planned just after New Years. Their opinion of dickweed matched ours.
