This is very true. With heavy 33s and a loaded bed (RTT and gear), going up the Grapevine with my truck I have to hit it with speed to maintain 60-65mph going up in 4th gear....forget about 5th unless I want to encounter ping city. She's screaming in 4th at that speed and RPMs, and that's with the 6cyl and supercharger...Can't imagine attempting that while pulling a heavy load let alone with a 4 banger and auto

I used Core West and they have a deal that if you buy the Yukon gear set the install kit comes with the gear set for no additional charge.

Yup, my truck was a pig going up the grape vine with 33s, stock gearing, & I'm auto. I've got 4.88 now but haven't climbed the grape vine again yet. I'm curious now.

Thing is Tyler has 32s. Gearing is about the same for 4cyl & 6cyl, just 4cyl has less power of course. I believe he has 4.30 now which is not too far off from 4.56 which should be good for his truck. If he was manual he'd probably be ok with 4.30 as manual can get away with one step higher gear ratio. 4.88 is a bit too low if he's going to stick with 32s unless he doesn't care about cruising fwy speeds with high rpm. IMO not worth spending all that money to go from 4.30 to 4.56.
