I was invited by my service advisor at Camelback Toyota to attend the grand opening of their new facility. They had some old Toyota vehicles on display that I thought I would share. Some of them are very nice.

That LC in the 2nd and third pics is a right hand drive from Australia. It was really nice. Note the bottle opener on the brush guard in the front.

The truck in the last pic was super clean, too. Interior was really nice. The guy still had the original window sticker. I figured you guys would like those two the best.

The car in the first pic was nice, too. It was a 1958 Toyopet. I believe there were only several hundred of those imported to the U.S., and only a handful remain. I couldn't believe you had to crank this thing to start it. Rather odd for a car in 1958.

Chris, the FJ80 was really nice. I should have shot some shots of the interior on that one. Someone did a really nice job.

All of the interiors on these trucks were just as nice as the exteriors. While the vehicles were all unlocked, and I don't think the owners would have minded, out of resepect I did not want to touch anyone elses vehicles. Wish I could have taken some pics of the interiors to share, as they were quite impressive.

This event was nice. They had valet parking, open bars throughout the dealership, great food, and live entertainment. There were some girls running around with really short skirts on that had Toyota lab coats on, not sure where they were from but were getting alot of attention from the guys. There were representatives from Toyota USA there, as well as higher ups from other dealerships. I met someone that was there from Gulf States Toyota.

One of the Managers owns an LC and most of the vehicles there were friends of his from the club.

I' like to see a pic of the actual engine in the Toyopet. I'm curious as to what motivated it, especially given that they couldn't make it up some of the hills here in the U.S. I have a thing for strange and quirky cars, and this is right up there with the Citroen 2CV
