Ya...we don't let ours on the counters either. Funny how we always find little foot prints there....

 

Ollie went for the lap but the computer was in his way - settled on my left arm instead.

I don't let my cats get onto the table or counters but they do take advantage when I'm not home !!!

Any of you guys have cats that meow loudly late at night?? . Last night Gizmo was meowing very loudly about 0400hrs as he was walking from room to room . His meowing woke me up 2x's and once he saw me and gave me a few head butts he quieted down

 

Bengals. Sure do. How many hours a day does your do it straight ? Haha

 

The captain will do that from time to time. I usually throw my pillow at him and he runs and is then quiet.
Edit.... not the greatest way to handle it, but it beats being up for the 2 to 3 hours he is doing it.

 

Mine will go on a midnight cry patrol occasionally. Usually I call him into the bedroom (in an annoyed, still half-asleep voice) and he'll hop up on the bed for some attention and then settle down and sleep for the rest of the night. It's more of a problem during the summer, when he wants to go outside and chase things.

 

On the table, on the lunch box and in the bag.

 

He just likes to be on top. The bag was a bonus.

 

It's actually a yowling sound and Gizmo rarely ever does this but when he does he sounds like a mountain lion !!!!

 

They’re the sweetest little hellions ever

 

All of ours do it on rare occasions, especially the young ones. Sometimes it's because a rabbit, raccoon, or another cat is visible outside. It's easy to tell if this is the reason because the howling is accompanied by occasional running from window to window as the critter in question moves around the yard.

Arthur cried like that at night after we lost his girlfriend, Pumpkin. During the day he would get this panicky look on his face and run from room to room like he was searching for her, and at night he would just pick one of her favorite spots and cry out for hours. It started happening the day she died, and he quit after maybe a month or two.

 

Poor thing always has this perpetual stoned/worried look. He’s a happy guy though, has a nonstop purr motor.

 

Ha! I got my wife a new coffee cup for her birthday last month. Fits both her and the cat's attitude.

 

We are very fortunate with the ones we have now. They don’t get on the counters or tables.
At least not that we know of.

Our kitty we had to say goodbye to in December of last year, she was a whole different story. She would jump on the counter and then get told to get down. She’d just give you this look. She had turbo boost in her rear legs! She needed no moving start she’d just launch herself in the air. Such a PITA but if you ask my wife her little girl could do no wrong.
