Have any of you with front lockers ever chained up on all 4?

I know IFS and chains don't exactly get along but still.

Nice to have why? Because you think you might need it or because you want it? Sorry to keep pressing on that but that's the key issue - we all, myself included, often confuse the two.

You will not need it. Monte is proof of that.

I would say four wheel drive is different. There are a lot of trails you cannot do in 2 wheel drive.

a solid check engine light is usually due to a more minor issue...flashing means you have a more serious problem like a misfire and you shouldn't drive it if possible until it's fixed

I'm on 32's right now, would I have to start trimming the pinch weld areas at 33'? Ideally I don't want to trim anything, but spacers are okay. I need spacers now since my Turd Gen wheels have awful backspacing.

I'm totally OK with my current tire size. But if it'll help the gearing and performance with bigger tires at 4.88 I don't mind.

yes....yes you will especially with those wheels. I've had to trim a ton for my 255s and I need to add spacers because I rub the frame at full lock.

Yes, you would have to trim the pinch weld with 33s. Likely you would need to do more than that. Spacers would make it worse.

It's nice to have in the rare circumstance it might be used. Monte is definitely more skilled off-roader, more than I ever will be. You're right, I don't need it all. However I'm already dropping money re-gearing this thing, so I might as well consider the option of perhaps adding a rear locker. I plan on driving this thing in the long run, and I don't want to have regrets down the road.

Even with the wheel at the stock backspacing?

In that case I'm totally happy with the 32's. I was just looking at it from the gearing being more beneficial to 33's v. 32's standpoint.

I'm happy with the 32's, I really don't want to go cutting into the truck for bigger wheels.

In the end, this is my daily driver truck that's 90% used for commuting, hauling, and towing my trailer state-to-state. I'm not doing crazy wheeling every weekend that would necessitate big ass wheels and tires.

I would say you probably don't need a locker then.

That could change in the future, like I said I plan on keeping this thing forever and who knows maybe this'll turn into a wheeling rig instead of my daily driver.

I'm trying to future proof here, since I'm getting the rear torn apart might as well put a locker in.
