In the end, this is my daily driver truck that's 90% used for commuting, hauling, and towing my trailer state-to-state. I'm not doing crazy wheeling every weekend that would necessitate big ass wheels and tires.

I would say you probably don't need a locker then.

That could change in the future, like I said I plan on keeping this thing forever and who knows maybe this'll turn into a wheeling rig instead of my daily driver.

I'm trying to future proof here, since I'm getting the rear torn apart might as well put a locker in.

    @turbodb

Your website is beautiful, I don't know how I've never taken a look at it before. So much information in such an organized and compact package. I don't know if you made that graphic with the different tire sizes under different lifts, but it's excellent.

Thanks, I did make it.

Most of the content there is also on TW, but sometimes I need to post things for friends and family, and I think this site would be a little overwhelming for them, hahahha.

    Nothing.

You've barely used it. Once. In almost a year...

So..you made it heavier i guess...

If you don't want to trim anything. Don't start offroading.

    Nope.

Frankenstein didn't have lockers until 2016.

My recommendation is not to do too much future-proofing. If you think you will need something in the next year, do it.

Longer than that and you are better off investing the money and seeing what happens. If, in 10 years you realize you need a locker, put one in then. You might find it before that that your interests or uses change, and you could have put that thousand dollars to better use.

There have been a lot of things that I've said I would never do to my truck, and in the end I've done them all. However, I drove the truck and used it before I did them and realize I actually needed to do them.

A great example is my front suspension. I put in a ToyTech BOSS coilover because I knew I needed more than stock. I could have future-proofed and gone with a high-end racing shock at the time, but who knows how I would end up using the truck? As it turns out, my life situation changed and I use the truck a lot more now than I used to... So now I'm putting in the racing shocks.

I don't view that as wasted money on the Toytechs. I view it as a responsible approach to finacial management.

Wait till I get my Relentless Fab armor on!

I'd be the cover of mall crawler magazine.

Very good points. If I can get a good deal on the locker, I'll probably get it because I'm a stubborn son of a bitch. But financial responsibility is another thing to keep in mind.

How do you like it? You're almost the same tire size as me.
