Gas tank skid recommendations? Thieves have stolen gas from 15 toyota trucks in my neighborhood.

As the titles says thieves have drilled through 15 toyota trucks in my neighborhood. Looking for a gas tank skid that has enough coverage to deter the thief to move on. Luckily I can park in a garage most of the time but not always the case. Don't know exactly where they chose to drill the tank so complete coverage is my goal. Thanks in advance for info and pics.

Yeah. Been getting worse with the amount of people they are cramming into my town.

This is true. Not going to take someone's life for gas though. If they come after me or the family that's a different story.

 

One of these times they are gonna encounter vapor and spark and on that day the problem will resolve it hopefully.

 

A skid won’t stop a gas thief. Most of them are designed to protect the leading edge and bottom of the tank and don’t wrap around the tank. A thief will just drill the tank above the skid plate. It’s a good excuse to justify buying one to your wife/gf though if you wanted one anyway.

That's crazy, why wouldn't they just siphon it. Taco gas holes aren't even locked

Kinda why I asked for some opinions on them. Hopefully I can find one with enough coverage on the sides. So if they do drill it catching the gas will be impossible while it spills onto it, instead of their can.

Its hard to almost impossible due to anti siphon mechanisms in the neck of tank.

 

What are those? I would think two hoses. Stick both in tank. One goes to your can and one you blow in

 

Shoot them and be done. If a thief wants it bad enough he’s gonna get it. Just 2 in the chest and one in the head outta do it

 

I don't recall seeing any new gas taxes on the ballot, but the prop to repeal some existing gas taxes did not pass.
