His MPG should inprove quite a bit, higher RPM doesn't mean increased fuel consumption if load has been reduced. Right now with 4.30 (a gear that is a step up from the average 4.10) he has to floor it everywhere and it feels gutless. Which I agree with, I drove one almost identical and it was indeed miserable. Some people go 5.29 with an auto and 33s I don't really see how roughly a 3/4" of difference is enough to rule out this gearset with a much weaker engine than the V6.

Christ in a handbasket, that's the ACE hardware selection!? That makes ACE look like the New York Giants, and Home Depot look like Cicero Little League.

 

Yup, this is my local ACE, it actually has a good selection of everything. Even found my weirdo M5x.8 fasteners I needed

That's heaven for me! My local OSH had those same exact bins, not as vast as that but so much better than the other big box hardware stores. Sadly OSH is closing. There's a b&m hardware store that has those same bins but again not as vast, the store is small but still more selection than the big box stores. Sadly all the ACE stored closed down here a long time ago.

 

And I thought tractor supply had a good selection.

 

I do have another one, but it's for a 4Runner. You don't have one? If you're getting a new console get an 01-04 one.

Can be a good way to make a few extra bucks on the side but it's tough to make any real money selling personal work. Unless you really build a name/reputation over time. Even stock photography nowadays is only good for supplemental income, back in the day you could make a killing at it. Photography in general is so accessible to everyone nowadays it's tough to make a living in the 'fine art' genre (selling personal work).
