The only thing that sucked on them were the original cup holder inserts & the rubber bumpers on the bottom portion for the top console. But the new material for the cup holder inserts is so much better. And for the bumpers, I drilled out the holes & put larger ones

 

I hardly use my standard sockets anymore, I like deep sockets for most things and Impact sockets are usually my go-to even if I'm using a hand tool. I have some standards but damn if they don't mostly just sit in the socket tray

 

That’s the one thing I don’t have. I have one that sits in my cup holder, but after realizing tweakers will break my window for a Snicker’s wrapper, I keep my coins in an Altoids tin now.

 

What do you call it?

 

I bought my center console and door panels who the guy in Chico who rolled his red 2004 Double Cab. He must’ve replaced the tabs at one point because mine are 100% okay.

 

Impact sockets aren't that easy to break, wear out yes. Chrome sockets I have broken all the time. The only time I ever broke an impact socket was a matco thin wall for lugnuts.

 

It's just the bottom of the sirloin, it's not the cut anyone really requests cause the work to cook it outweighs the taste/texture compared to most other cuts

Every restaurant I go to calls it Tri-Tip, or Tri-Tip sandwich. Guess it’s another thing California got wrong, huh?

 

I was making burgers one day from scratch and I didn’t have breadcrumbs. I baked some White sandwich bread until crispy and processed it into bread crumbs in my roommate’s smoothie maker.

Improvise, adapt, overcome.

 

It's just a name to make a sub average bottom sirloin cut of meat sound more appealing, there's a reason it's part of a sandwich and not enjoyed on its own

 

The tabs are missing, or is that a pic of another one? Yeah the tabs that suck were the ones that originally came with the truck new. They were more like foam than rubber & smooth. They changed the material a long time ago so any replacements will be the new material. The new material.is more like rubber h has a texture. I think I replaced mine like almost 10 yrs ago & they're still holding up great. Not that I really care about the tabs anyway.

 

It’s pretty damn good on a good Ciabatta roll and with somebody horseradish spread and provolone though.

 

Yeah I pulled that pic of google. Mine are rubber so he definitely replaced them.

 

Oh for sure, it's the cut that's used in cheese steaks too (well sometimes those use skirt steak too)

 

At the meat market we got all of our meats from Harris Ranch...if you've ever driven up the 5 freeway through central CA you know about Harris Ranch...you can smell it from miles away. The tri tip though that we made and sold from there was so fucking good, as is any of their other meats. Also expensive though...I miss getting it for free essentially.

 

The coin holder sucks anyway. The quarters fall out easy going over bumps & stuff. The coin holder is easy to get. Other cars, not just Toyota use the same one. I think the extra one I have came out of a Honda pilot or something & it's identical. GMs too, seen em in Chevys & Cadillacs.

 

Yup it's the reason that whole area smells like shit. I actually don't know how people can stand to exist there. The air is so thick I'm pretty sure it could be weaponized

 

yeah it boggles my mind that there's a hotel right there, lol. And a restaurant/store thats always crowded

 

What about their winchs
