I know what kind of mileage I got out of my GTI w/2.0T but didn't have a non-turbo 2.0 to compare it to. What is the expectation for the 3.5T?

Last time I looked into this CARB EO testing is done with an independent lab that is verifying that the modifications don't increase the levels above what it was stock. The cost is paying for the lab fees. And if you can't show that that the emissions don't increase you will fail or you will need to fix and test again.

Do you have a preliminary price estimate for the kit? I'd like to start putting a bit aside every pay cheque.

Are you asking about fuel mileage? Or mileage as in longevity of the turbo and related parts? I hope its not MPG............

The interesting part of all the 3.5 thoughts is how slow that engine is and how great the older 4.0 is. Well I bought a 2018 Tacoma with a 3.5 and my wife bought a 2018 4 runner with a 4.0. We have raced on multiple occasions and they are almost exactly the same. Depends on who gets the jump as to who wins. It's always within a half fender. I am coming from a f150 with a 5.4 Triton. It had all the mods done full exhaust headers tuner cold air. My Tacoma smoked that truck. Not trying to say it would out tow it but there definitely not as slow as some people would like to think.

Think if he wanted to carb cert this would have been another reason to use supercharger besides cost and ease of installation.

I love it when people low-ball and use "cash" as some sort of magical argument that is supposed to make me sell an item for half what it's worth. Like I'd take anything else from those dumbasses to begin with, LOL.

Cash as apposed to Credit aka borrowed money. I mean it doesnt matter tbh... either way you pay you will get your turbo kit.
