Hello everyone, first post and I had a question about cleaning the interior door material. Is there any good methods to do so? I had my dog in the backseat and unfortunately her drool is now captured as spots all over the perforated/mesh portion of the door (not the hard plastic). I took some armorall to it but it doesn't quite clean inside the perforated area. Thanks

For information the model is 2018 TRD Pro.

Please post if you find an easy way to clean this plastic rubber! My pups did the same in my truck. This material seems to grab everything.

I scrub mine with 303 on a microfiber cloth so no lint, takes some elbow grease but it comes out looking good.

I just use dish soap and a micro fiber cloth. Comes clean on mine.

Same issue here. I used a vinegar/water/dish soap mixture. Then did a coat of armor all. It worked, mostly. In the future I'm just going to keep some wipes in the truck and clean it up asap after a trip. I agree the mesh is kind of pain to clean.

Soft tooth brush and Meguier's interior detailer worked for me. I had a small stain on one when new that came right off like this.

I imagine you just need to get in there with some water. I’d go old tooth brush and soapy warm water.

Throw your Armor All away and get a quality detail spray. Armor All has alcohols in it that dry out rubbers and plastics.

What part of the door is it? Where the speaker grill is located? I see no perforated thing inside the door...

The speaker grill section on my front door is a perfect cheese grater. Catches my damn knee every time I get out of the truck.

Soft bristle brush and hot water cleans it just fine.

Steam cleaner works wonders. Do it in a well ventilated area and let the truck thoroughly dry out afterwards.

Good tips. I got a detail for a gift a few months ago and despite me specifying that Armor All not TOUCH my truck, I picked it up and the dash and all the plastic had that greasy shit all over it - including the mesh on the doors. I've tried to clean it since then but I still can't get all the "greasy" feeling out of it. Steam clean is probably the ticket when I get the time.

Do not use Armor All on your interior in these trucks. 303 is the only thing I let touch my truck's plastic. It'll offgas some and you may need to do another wipe down but it's the best stuff to clean, protect, and leave a semi-matte finish behind that's not reflective.

I could hardly see through my windshield after that detail, the dash was so shiny

    Chemicals guys interior protectant
Chemical Guys SPI220 Total Interior Cleaner & PROTECTANT (1 GAL) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0741RL23Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_pOj5BbD2DMMEY

And a high nap microfiber. Safe for touch screens. Can be used on glass (I use Stoners on the windshield) and it doesn’t off gas. It’s not shiny. It has a nice pleasant non chemical scent.

I used Meguiars, Mothers, and all the others and I’m quite happy with this product. Works on leather too.

Did you go to the place where they do a line of cars in like 30 minutes?

    Only go to the pros.

They shouldn’t be using any cleaners that leave residual oils.

I detail as a side hustle and I use interior detailers only.
I bet you could get it out with hot water and a touch of Dawn on a microfiber towel.

People rave about 303 but honestly... it belongs in the trash with the Armor All. That stuff is oily.

I like Chem Guys Interior Detailer. No residue what so ever.

I like the Chem Guys stuff as well and I “never” pay for a detail. I love doing it myself but it was a gift so I used it

I love 303, but only on the outside trim and tires. Definitely helps protect against UV.

Makes the tires look better than factory fresh and not shiny like a dressing.
