    Hey guys,

I'm a new member here and I am in the market for a used Tacoma. I had a 1996 reg cab which was totaled in an accident. I purchased a 1999 Ford Ranger, which I deeply regret, nothing but problems and I was not happy with it. The Ranger has since been totaled in yet another accident and I'm looking to buy another truck. I've decided to buy another Tacoma and I've found one but need some advice. I'm on a tight budget and am seriously considering this truck :

My previous tacoma was totaled at roughly 180,000 miles and it was running strong. I'm pretty sure this truck will last as well but I need some input. Should I buy this truck? Any super high mileage Tacomas here? Is the price appropriate for this mileage? This truck will be driven daily and on pretty rough roads.

I appreciate any comments! Thank you in advance.

If it were me, I'd pass. Not because of the miles but because it's a pre-runner and an auto with the 4 cylinder (great engine but the trans sucks all the power out of it). Also, the front bumper looks crooked; does the carfax show an accident? And, toyota is buying back these year trucks (95-2000) due to rust problems with the frame. You could buy it (I would say for no more than 4k) and then have toyota buy it back and you'll get 150% of KBB. But I still wouldn't buy it only because there's always the chance the frame will pass and then your stuck with a truck you don't completely like. The 2.7 liter four is one of the most reliable engines ever; don't worry about the miles. Good luck in your quest!

^^^^It also looks like the bed is crooked. Maybe a suspension problem. Top off the cab looks level.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I will pass with this truck and continue my search. It's difficult to find a low priced Tacoma, even with high mileage.
