I ran BFG ATs on my 2 1st gen tacos. one set gave me 55,000 and would have got maybe 62 or 65 thous had toyota not bought it back. the first set gave me a little over 70,000. I only have around 10,000 on my Toyos right now. we will see after 2 or 3 years from now how the Toyos hold up

The BFG AT KO's will last at least 60K even if you don't rotate them often. BUT, if you live in snow country you won't want to use them in the winter that last 20K miles. The tread gets too low and the rubber is not as soft, thus less traction in both rain and snow compared to when they were new. Lots of ABS use after 40K miles in the littlest amounts of snow. Which was too bad because they did so well thru 2 winters, but that third winter just sucked.

Got the AT2s now and am rotating them every 4K miles. I'm hoping they last just as long as the BFGs. We'll see...

I ran a set 85K miles until one day I found a bubble in the middle of the tread the size of a grapefruit! Time to change!

I'm gonna try the michelin ms/2's, I've used the original on my other trucks and have gotten over 100K. Not as aggressive as the ones you guys run obviously, but a decent tire for what they are. Still got the factory dung-flops for now with 2000. (at least they made it this far :D)

i got the bfg rugged trails and they are almost shot, i have 30k miles on them right now but about 28k is hwy miles. the shortest road trip they have been on is problly 210 miles. i guess they are doing good considering that i travel so much. when i get my lift and new rims n tires i guess ill be changing them every 20k

Its true that the BFGs suck after 30,000 in the snow and really suck in the rain after half the tread is gone. But the first 30,000 is when they really shine. I,ll have to see how my Toyos work after 30,000, If they get that far :D

we don't have snow... so i don't have to worry about that. i have always heard that mud tires were terrible in snow this true with the toyo? also if you stud a tire can the studs be removed? or is that forever a winter only tire?

I've had my Tacoma about a year and a half now. It seems like the standard 245/75/16 Dunlop tires that came with the truck are only gonna get about 35000 miles. Right now I have 24500 and the tires are looking pretty rough. When I bought the truck it also had Nitrogen filled tires which I was told it was gonna help on the wear of the tires and the change in pressure due to weather changes. So far the pressure hasn't changed, but like I said the wear in the tires is a little disappointing. Could this be because of the poor tire quality or the Nitrogen instead of air? When it's time to change my tires I am either going for 265/75/16 Wrangler DuraTrac or 265/75/16 Dueler A/T Revo; any suggestions?

I'd go with the Destination A/T's but I do like the Duratrac's, too. My Destinations are currently at 34k miles and still going strong. Plenty of tread left.

BFG Rugged Trails lasted about 28000 miles but then I had a few plugs put in and because of the leaks I was constantly running on tires that were under or over inflated.
