considering 90% of my camping here consists of beach camping - its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to secure tents to the ground, thus the reason I want this setup. ppreciate your input!

Death Valley for 6 days with my new iKamper. It’s everything they advertise it to be on set up and break down. Just so large inside! I love it

Sand or snow ... Use a dead-man anchor.
Bury a stick or a bag of sand and tie off to that.

Use cheap dry-bags as sand bags, empty when done and stow flat.

Couldn't see the pics in reply to your question(likely a work firewall thing), but I also found a bed tent. Took it camping for a week earlier this year. Good little setup. Maybe 10 minutes max to set up. It honestly took my portable compressor longer to pump up the air mattress than it took to get the bed emptied and the tent situated.

    I think it was around $150... https://www.autoanything.com/truck-tents/proz-premium-truck-tent

It really is! It was 84 degrees at an altitude of -250 feet, and 55 up at 8,500 feet. Amazing sunsets and sunrises, I miss it already

Titus is pretty rad, its actually my profile pic on here.

Did you do racetrack? There's a building foundation all the way at the end you can camp on. Talk about a level site!

We did go to racetrack but I didn’t know about the pad. We camped out by the dunes past Race Track and Titus. Random but I drove to Dolan to get my truck. It was the only one within 500 miles that was OF, silver, and premium package. Good place!B63ECDCC-3256-4E56-B48D-D33792FE2C27.jpg

That is pretty random. The saga of my truck is arduous but Dolan was the only dealer in 100 miles that had a mag gray DCLB OR, with tech package. This was my second color choice, I really wanted quicksand but couldn't it anywhere. So I put $500 down on them to hold it, and the day I was to drive out and buy it, they sold it out from under me! Then to make "amends" they tried to up sell me on another truck, and actually laughed at me when I told them "no, you give me this truck with premium audio for the price we agreed upon." Needless to say, a complaint to corporate later, and within two business days I got a call from the GM over at Dolan. Basically went down like this "Yeah my guys messed up. I'll cut you a good deal if you still want to do business. Any other colors your interested in?" That's when I old them I wanted a quicksand. They found one almost immediately, and gave it to me for the price of the original truck, threw in their "Sierra Package", and gave me the JBL audio on the house. Also got me a ridiculous rate on my auto lone and were very friendly and professional. Honestly, they made it right, and I'd go back.

Wow that’s a crazy story that ended well. I had put a $500 deposit as well and in the day it took me to get around to getting there 4 people tried to buy it. My sales lady put a big sign on the windshield that said it was sold in order to save it.

Word. The story actually gets crazier believe it or not. Once they located a truck they had to call me and tell me that they weren't sure when they were going to get it to the dealership because it was located in Napa.... during the huge Napa fires last year, and the roads were all closed. I was like "really!? They finally find the truck I want and its going to BURN TO THE GROUND????"

So yeah... drove to Reno to buy a truck from Napa. Still, story ended well and the truck is basically my favorite thing next to my wife... but sometimes more than my wife. :bananadead:

We had the keys to ours sitting between me & the sales guy on the desk, and going over the numbers...another sales guy comes up and says, "I'm working with that guy over there, and he wants that blue DCLB." Or sales guy looks at me and says, "I guess we have the start of a bidding war." Waits just a second to get reaction, then says, "just kidding. That one belongs to these fine people right here." At which point I grabbed the keys off the table, walked to the window, and locked the truck with the fob! Suck it, bitch. Our guy called and got the detailer right about that time too.

Sometimes those "these Toyotas are selling fast" commercials aren't too far from the truth!

Not my first time ever camping, just first trip with the RTT setup and first large off road event with close to 300 rigs. I had only done solo day trips up to that point.
