Question about bed rails and a cap?

    baby seat, BHLM, satoshi, stubbs sliders, full OME suspension with extra leaf,black fog light mod , debagged,
    in a few weeks my new camper top will be arriving (ARE Z series) and my question is do you remove the black bed rail covers prior to install? thanks

    On the two Leer caps I have had the rail covers stayed installed. I think most I have seen here are the same.

    BFG A/T KO 265/70/17, '11 FJ wheels, 5100's all four corners, Eibach springs, 1/4" Taco lean spacer, Leer 100XR, WeatherTech liners, trimmed mud flaps and I farted in it.
    Same with my Leer 100XR, bedrails still usable. In fact they are necessary in order to clamp the cap down on the bed of the truck

    It's all in my head at the moment...
    I do believe he means the black plastic covers that are on top of the bed sides. Where stake pockets would be if a full size domestic truck for example.

    I'd say yes. There is a foam or rubber gasket that will mold/conform to that "cap".

    Yeah, just re-read, and I think you're right. Oh well, now he knows that the tie-down rails stay too ! :D
