Nice! The 35 1.8 was pretty much glued to my d3300 lol

I'm wondering why you would want/need the cheaper one when you have a D750? Are you worried about damaging it?

Also, why wait for the Nikon mirrorless as apposed to the A7iii? Because you may be able to use your Nikon glass, or are you just sold on Nikon? As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm strongly debating whether to upgrade my current setup to either the A7iii or the D750. I have strong arguments for both directions, but still undecided. Probably going to see what the Black Friday deals are and go from there.

Nice bikes. Reminds me of my college days. Used to buy those up on CL and flip 'em. Wish I had never got rid of my '68 cl350...

It was a cheap reliable and capable back up camera. Nikon's never let me down yet so im sticking with them and cant go wrong with the d750 man

Anyone else using mirrorless? I'm not much for carrying a larger camera but haven't noticed anyone mention a mirrorless.

I havent used my Sony nex6 in a while since i only have my 55-210 lens after i lost the 16-50. I've been wanting to replace that lens, or upgrade the camera but haven't pulled the trigger. And it's probably not being stored in the best circumstances...center console of the truck in case i see critters that i want to get pics of while driving.

I know there's one in that model line that has better megapixels as well as better for burst photos.

Haven't been able to get a "Blue Hour" shot all week around here. It has been rainy and socked in all week long in the morning and the evening.

18° and an inch of snow here this morning, we have passed that 6 weeks of the year with piss poor sledding where the blue hour exists. It is now a world of black and white. Well OK there is grayscale but only 256 of them at best LOL.

Many of my friends have switched to Sony and mirrorless. And they seem to be very popular on the hunting websites in large part due to smaller size. I have a rather large investment in Pentax glass and not in a hurry to switch yet. Most all of my pictures are of wildlife and hunting. Just spent 2 weeks grouse hunting with a friend and he has a large Sony with the telephoto lens it isn't much smaller than my full body. We both kind of lamented that using the Polaris Ranger there really wasn't any room for storage of either.

One day while stopped in the middle of a trail a snowshoe hare came running at us and actually went underneath for a minute then popped out and ran off into the woods. Seconds later a pine martin came running up the trail behind him and right before he got to us picked up the scent and tried to cut the hare off in the woods. Must have lost the scent because 30 seconds later he came back out on the trail and backtracked and went back into the woods. He got the hare. I made the comment that it would have been nice to have the cameras to capture it. My friend said yeah but there is something to be said for being in the moment and seeing the whole process of life and death unfold instead of viewing it through a view finder. There is a lot to be said for that statement...

Are you on the Upland Journal BB? Hartman has a Fuji X T-2 as a mid range camera but Sony A6000 as a field camera. And Sony RX1 R2 for higher end detailed pictures. But he has the money to do so. If I do switch and someday will I'll go Sony.

I am a member, but I don't think I've posted yet. I am going to Kansas next week and am taking a ton of photo/video gear (including a new drone, and yes, I got my FAA Part 107) so I am hoping to have epic media this year.

I bet a Blue Hour photo from that spot would be amazing, though.

Probably. The gate at the bottom closes at 5 and you have to be out by then.

Welp, shows me how much I know about Pike's Peak. I thought the road to the top was part of the highway.

Not an entry, opposite of blue hour. Was working on the Tacoma in the garage, noticed the light change, looked up and...wish I could have snapped a picture to do it justice. It was an awe-inspiring sunset.

Does anyone in cinematography have any recommendations on some kind of microphone setup? I've toyed around with starting a Youtube channel about traveling as a college student and filmed today to realize the wind blew out all the audio. Any insight would be helpful! Shooting with a Canon 6D.
