    POR 15 is good stuff for rust if you’re worried about it. Just wear long sleeves and nitrile gloves. Get it on your skin and it’ll be there for a few weeks

    A little of this and a little of that.
    My mistake fellas, I should have been more specific in what I was referring too. The surface rust isn't the concern, it is easily remedied and I do appreciate the recommendations provided. The main concern is the gap where the CV axle shaft inserts into the differential. The passenger side is inserted further and just below flush. IIRC, the driver side gap looked to be ~1/8" maybe less.
