You know of a magic city where thieves refuse to go? I'll keep my taxes, earthquakes and traffic. No where else even remotely sounds better at this time.

Already covered in that area. Ring. But you will find that the camera doesn't stop anyone. Join the neighborhood ring community and you will see thieves and all don't stop for a camera.

I never said it would stop them. It will sound a chime inside the house... then you go outside and take care of it.

Agree. Tried siphoning gas from my truck after Hurricane Sandy for my generator.

Well if you had it sending alerts to your cell phone and kept your crossbow at your bedside, then you've got all bases covered.

Nice thing about using a compound or cross bow.... you can recover and reuse your arrow/bolt.

Motion sensor with indoor alert and then wait for them to get under the truck and hit the remote start. That'll make them run for the hills.

A security idea I've toyed with off and on... not just motion sensing, but motion TRACKING, and a couple of LED LASERS zeroing in on the center of the movement, maybe along with a recording of "you have to the count of 3".

I've never understood stealing $40 in gas? What a PITA, drilling, capturing it, running down the street sloshing around. Maybe I'm just too lazy to steal.

I’m one for a homemade electrocution device. A simple one. Two small steel plates on the ground where you normally park, placed under the tank area and wired to 220 volts.

Yeah, but what happens if the neighbor's dog gets out and tries to hide under there? That would make me feel really bad.

Also, you might inadvertently blow up your truck if they get the hole drilled before they hit the second panel.
