I was rear ended on the interstate. Waiting on the decision from Allstate on my 2017 TRD Sport. Frame is bent and the bed is buckled. Sad day.

That’s how I felt last year after being rear ended.

Hopefully it works out for you but I wouldn’t be surprised if they replace the bent sections of the frame and bed.

That’s what they did with my 4R, cut out bent section of frame and welded in a new one. INS states it would have had to have been $24kish in damages to be considered for a total.

Do you have full coverage? If so, you'll be just fine. Right after I graduated from college, I spent a year as a claims adjuster before I realized your job should not destroy your soul and make you a shell of a person. Anyway, I cannot claim to be an expert, but I can say your car is unlikely to be totaled if there is no front end damage. Air bags getting set off or roof damage is a dead giveaway. Do your research and take it to a shop that you trust to have the work done. If the truck doesn't drive right, all you have to do is bring it back to the shop. Theyll call the insurance company and get the money to fix and re-fix it as many times as necessary. Allstate is also one of the best in terms of customer service so you made a good choice there. Finally, be nice to your adjuster, it pays to do so and they are really just trying to help most of the time. Sucky situation to be in but at least no one was injured. It could have been a lot worse, right? Anyway, good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Bummer. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was about a flatbed build. Hope you get taken care of and we see a new truck on here soon.

With no damage to the cab I can see them replacing the frame instead of being totaled.

Yikes. I just hope you’re ok, that looks like some nasty whiplash took place there. The truck can be fixed/replaced.

Driving backwards and being rear ended, could it be called a head on collision?
