With the recent shooting and wild fires here in Cali this is probably going to sound kinda of petty, but today I came home to a head scratcher, when you're like "WTF are people thinking" ?

Today I touched-up about a 1/4 section on the back of a vintage 1990 Flamenco guitar. I masked it off and sprayed it with lacquer, it was very warm today so I left it on a bench on my patio to dry.
I had to run an errand so I told our nanny "Don't even open the slider cuz the lacquer is really smelly". I live in the city but our apartments have tons of trees and wildlife, squirrels, raccoons, etc. Earlier in the week I bought a bag of unsalted peanuts so that when the nanny takes the baby for a walk she could feed the squirrels. Back to my guitar drying on my patio bench, if you can imagine the guitar takes up about 90% of the length of the bench. So for some strange reason the nanny takes a handful of peanuts and puts them on the bench about three inches away from my guitar - so of course a squirrel shows up and not only scratches the guitar but starts gnawing on it. So she brings the guitar inside but she's not even smart enough to get rid of the evidence, the peanuts are still sitting there on the bench.

20181110_045506.jpg Sitting on my tailgate. Watching a bonfire at 0445.. About 1/2 truck load of 5 year old red oak firewood. Wet and rotted. But it's throwing heat now. 29 degrees. Fire apt to burn a couple more hours. Out by day break. Happy psuedo-camper. The lights to the left of the fire are about 1/2 mile away on church steples.

Cleaning up...so burning brush pile. It'll be toast by day break. Local fd likes it that way.

So......I'm taking advantage of being in the back of the property, before daylight, by myself, and enjoying the moment.

Aughtta do this more often in fact

My Grandmother used to make the best squirrel pot pie! Homemade noodles and homemade bread sliced thick.... yum! She passed when my boy was 3 weeks old but got to meet each other. Cancer took her. Gram was the best!
