so it doesnt disable the tpms sensor system? like looking down and seeing how my tires are doin. unless im wrong on what this tpms wire is

I bought the 12v Solutions remote start for my 2018 PTS Tacoma months ago. Im thinking about adding on the smart phone option. Is your kit compatible with the 12v Solutions remote start? I think they're the same kit, but IDK.
Also, I have a 2018 4Runner. Do you know where I can get a good price on a plug and play remote start for this?

 

It dont turn light off i have my tpms sensor on my stocks.. i was trying think of way turn light off when i was doing wiring. Just not sure right now

 

It does not disable it permanently or render is useless, it only bypasses it to start the vehicle and then it goes back to normal. Once you get into your vehicle and do key take over by inserting your key, turning it two clicks to ON, tap the brake pedal once and now your vehicle is still running, but off your kwybas if that’s how you started it without the engine ever turning off. Perk of the HKEY setup. Then it’s business as usual, no blinking TPMS light. You still have a fully functional TPMS and display thereafter.

Your protocol would be set to DEI in the app and you would have to let me know this during checkout in the notes as well as either email me your invoice number with this note or text me this note so I make sure you get the right harness. Other than that, identical product and brand. However, I’m not sure if they’ve transitioned to ATT 3G chip set like me or are still on Verizon CDMA (which I refuse to sell). Same device though. Nationwide coverage is horrible for the Verizon CDMA unit. PM me your name and cell number as well as location/timezone and I’ll give you my direct line to save in your contacts.

Question about what happens after you put in reservation mode.

Once you do the dance to put in reservation mode, you open the door - 1. How many seconds/minutes do you have to close the door before the system resets and no longer in reservation mode?

Typically, I leave my door open so that I can go to the rear passenger door to get the baby out, then close that door and walk around to close the driver door. My assumption is this system will keep the engine running (i assume for a certain amount of time) and once all doors are closed, it will "wink" at me and turn the engine off.

 

Your assumption is correct, as far as time till “unready” with door open and needing to be shut as the final step, I can test this or just find out for you from the manufacturer and get back to you Monday. Text me a reminder Monday to find out. I PM’d you my cell.

Im looking to buy both kits once they are available, but what I can’t seem to wrap my head about is the service that the remote start kits run off of. ATT 3G or Verizon CDMA network? Why is Verizon less reliable than ATT, is this for all of California?

 

Verizon runs off CDMA, this is decade + cellular signal, however, it’s not about the bandwidth, the data sent over when you press a command like start/stop or lock/unlock is only bytes. This is about coverage. 3G has more coverage, CDMA is spotty. I know from personal experience. I threw out the CDMA I had on my own vehicle in June because it wasn’t reliable and I live in the city! It would drop signal and never reconnect no matter where I drove around in metro Los Angeles. That’s why I’m against it. I believe 12VS stopped selling the Verizon chipset back in July when 3G came out. Prior to that, you’ll have a CDMA unit if purchased from 12VS. Feel free to take a picture of the white label on your doorjam if you stuck the sticker there or if not, the one on the unit and PM me and I’ll be happy to tell you what you have. This is not a CA thing, this is a nationwide thing. And so I have customers buying in all parts of the US, I need to ensure that I can offer the best product for rural areas where 3G on its own is already hit or miss. Selling CDMA means I’d be processing returns, dealing with a larger call load for support issues, and most of all, unhappy customers.

Wait for Black Friday prices to be released via update to this thread as we get closer to the Thanksgiving weekend. Those prices were promotional but give you a slight hint of ballpark pricing. Those were nearly given away to promote N2 Designs service. Not sure of where we’ll be price point wise for Black Friday, but I anticipate VERY close to those out of stock prices on our website for most products.

You have an SR, so please confirm you have an OEM FOB built into your ignition key? The “H” is stamped on the neck of the key where it means the FOB portion? A power door lock system added after the fact, even by the dealer isn’t applicable. I am just mentioning this because there are instances where I probed deeper and found out I couldn’t sell to that type of setup.

 

Is there a coverage map available? I'm in the boonies and not sure if it will work.

 

Sorry if this was already answered, but are these units transferable? Meaning if I buy a new truck and want to put the unit on it OR if I sell my truck and want to sell the unit here or elsewhere? Same question also w regards to the cell phone module.
