Well I found out today that when you pull back your light switch handle, whatever it’s called, your high beams and fog lights are on at the same time. I don’t know why I never noticed that before. I guess I rarely pull them back. I got flashed tonight thinking I had my high beams on and I didn’t so I went to flash the guy back and I was like oh wow. Lol. Therefore, that leads me to believe that it is possible to do the Anytime fog light mod on the third gens just like the 2nd gens. Does anyone know of anyone successfully complete in’s this mod for the 3rd gen? I tried the 2nd gen mod on our trucks and it didn’t work.

So when you "flash" someone the fogs shine. Is that with the fog switch turned "off" on the stalk (that's what the whatever is called).

In fact, when you see a SR5 or SR on the road, flag them down and ask them if they would like chrome inside door handles. I bet it wouldn’t take too long to find someone who would be HAPPY to swap with you.

I tried to pull around back and get my utility trailer but ended up stuck in 8" - 10" of mud/muck. The side of my house is a 15 degree slope. It drops off about 10' to wetlands. My soil is very sandy.
This may be hard to explain without pictures. I'm the last house on a dead end street. The asphalt ends about ½ way across my yard. The road is already sloping down then the asphalt ends and the slope increases. When I drive around to the back of my house I drive straight down the slope to the bottom where it begins to level off a bit. I turn left then pick a line either to the left or the right of an apple tree. Because this year has been so wet I stay to the left of the tree and drive between the tree and my house. I tried to do all of this late this afternoon. The truck literally slid down the hill - brakes were useless - and stopped as the slope leveled off. "Hmmm, OK, well lets line up the truck to get back up the hill and into my back yard." I'm already in 4Lo - I begin to drive forward, angling about 40 degrees across the slope on the side of my house then the truck slides sideways, into the mucky bottom that forms when we have really wet weather. Maybe some of you saw my post a few weeks ago where I had to tow my garden tractor out of the muck because I got too close and it sucked me in. Anyway the muck got my truck. Couldn't make any real progress on my own so I activated the Multi-Terrain drive, set it to Mud/Sand. It tried, it really tried it's damnedest but nope. Tried Crawl Control - no help in this muck. I tried for about 30 minutes hoping for this :mudding: but no go. It was getting dark and I was getting frustrated - my Coopers let me down :(. I decided to temporarily wire up my winch - yes, I have a winch bolted up but not wired up. Minor modifications are required for a permanent installation, something I was going to look into on the 3-day weekend. So, I hook up the winch, drag about 30 feet of synthetic cable up to a tree, wrap my tree saver around the tree, shackle it all together, hop into the truck and proceed to pull my truck free. My first use of my winch was for a self recovery. I got the truck into my back yard - FUQ the trailer now!!! I get the truck turned around and proceed to drive back to the front and....... I can't drive up the hill to the asphalt. I should have figured that when I slid down the hill in the first place. Well my son is on his way over in my Santa Fe (they are using it while I replaced the front bearing, hubs, and calipers on their '06 Highlander). So in the mean time I unspool the winch and I pull the hook up to the asphalt then go another 15'. My son arrives, I use the Santa Fe as an anchor point (my son in it applying the brakes) and I finally get my truck back to the front of my house. What a mess. To top all of this off, I go to the gas station and as I'm walking around the truck looking it over under the gas pump island lights I see I unknowingly backed into the tree and dented my tailgate. Wonderful o_O  Sorry for the long story - I guess I just needed to "vent" a bit. So here are the pictures I'm sure you are all dying to see.

That's suck that you got stuck and that you had to get out in that shit and winch yourself out but I really feel for your tailgate damage. Some will say body damage is a badge of honor. Sure...atleast until your insurance company cuts you a check lol.

After owning the truck for less then 13 months, those are not the badges I am looking for at this time. I have drilled and cut into the truck but this is the first "damage" the truck has received. I'm going to pout all weekend now. :)

Sorry about your tailgate and your back yard. Maybe you will be encouraged to permanently wire your winch up now? :D

Well, that was the last straw, probably. I also bought a tonneau cover, grab handles for the back seat, a can of Rustoleum Satin Paprika to color match my shifter, and a GoPro. :spending:

Damn, you even got it to work without the glass cover which in my opinion kills the aesthetics of the pro grill, that's awesome. I want to buy one but I'm still nervous about generating errors from the TSS because I see other members who are having that issue with the pro grill on 18's. Let us know if anything changes please and great looking truck by the way.

Debadged the tailgate V6 and locked it down with the Sabellco. Got the SnugTop camper shell installed (cheap bastards didn’t hook up my USB ports - wanted $95 additional to do it so I pulled their decal off too.) Put in the rubber bed mat to keep shit from sliding all over hell, also the console and glove box organizers.

Then loaded up the wife and dog and camping/climbing gear and headed to the mountains for 4 days of fun. Got chased out of first camping area by tweakers up all night near us keeping us awake. Second morning woke up to some interesting decorations on the brand new shell from a different sort of visitor....
