Make sure you crimp wires good, especially where you split the red and black. Other than that, label your wires and figure out what wires go where on the switch. Also a dremel is handy to make the switch fit

Yep, dremel or good rasp set. Split cord for wrapping cable underneath hood? Zip ties for tucking cables away. Not sure what grille you have, but my camera wouldn’t mount centered on my Pro; couldn’t get the keeper nut on because of TSS stuff. Had to move it over an inch.

I used a similar switch. Standard toggle from home depot i believe. Placement is key. Note the mistake of drilling the first hole too far from the edge. It needs to be close to have enough room behind.

IIRC, you need an ON-OFF-ON, not an (ON)-OFF-(ON).

Sounds like you bought a momentary switch.

Definitely need a different switch. I was in Death Valley last week for 6 days and I kept the front switch on for hours to scan the trail when I was nose up and making a turn. It’s a pretty awesome feature to have a front camera and you’ll want to be able to keep it on

Ok, do you have link to the correct switch? Want both camera's in one switch.

Also I have 1 small problem. Things on the right front of the truck show up on the left side of the screen and things on the left side of the truck show up on the right side of the screen. Inverted, do I need to cut the green or the white wire to fix this or am i stuck with an inverted screen?

I had to reposition my original camera where it was fading forward more cuz I had the same issue. The switch is https://www.aironboard.com/online/r...-on-off-on-front-camera-rear-camera-blue.html

It’s the orientation, with that camera, that is your main problem. You need to mount it with the post facing backwards towards the engine, not point up towards the hood. I had the same problem and couldn’t figure it out till my GF said point it a new direction

I had the same issue with backwards side to side, and it has to do with how the camera faces then I think you cut the green wire and it will orient correctly. That’s what stumped me was it was reversed not upside down. Nothing worked till I changed which way it faced

ok, so I have to remount it with the locking nut toward the engine and not toward the sky and then cut the green wire. What does the white wire do?

It’s been long eoungh that I can’t remember if the green needs to be cut or not, but you’ll know. I think white adds or removes the parking guide lines

I ended up changing to this camera recently for 2 reasons:
It could mount with the screw upwards
It gave a longer FOV to see the road ahead

This one has a little button that you keep pushing till the orientation is correct
