I'm 56 and can't lift what I once did. I have kayak racks for my Altima (when the kayaks were up there it looked really funny). One of the kayaks is t least 12 ft long. I bought a Tacoma because I have a lot of acreage and needed a truck. The Altima is always bottoming out when the kayaks are on unless there's a smooth road (I've been so cruel to that car). It's a reliable little thing. Anyhow. I have a tow package and the rack I saw hooked up into that as an extension. I could easily lift my 75 lb kayak into that but I haven't been able to find it again. Any thoughts?

Unknown lift, maybe 2" I don't know how to ID it, and would rather set it back to stock.
Maybe a rack like this? This one custom but companies like Thule make nice bolt in racks that work very nicely for canoe/kayak, etc.

Do you mean a bed extender? Much less lifting and $60-90 bucks at Harbor Freight or assorted web sites. I got mine at etrailer.com. This is a 14'7" kayak in my T100. Other options are a kayak trailer, I have a Malone with a retractible tongue that stands on end for storage.

Thule Hullavator! Makes loading and unloading easy! I have used this set up on a car and SUV too.

It's a Malone Microsport (http://maloneautoracks.com), but I purchased it from ack.com because delivery was free. It took a few hours to put together. I like that it has 12" wheels with sealed bearings and is galvanized. Assorted options can be added. I've since added an additional crossbar on the tongue for added support. I've actually fit 3 kayaks on it at times.
