I can confirm this is still working for me on my 2015 X-runner. With just the URD sim or just the J-bung I would still get a CEL, but together I have been good for 10 months.

    Do I win a free y pipe?

2am test drive after rebuilding my drive shaft, resulted in a major vibration above 35 mph. Shaft was marked for correct reassembly position. I think the IELDS carrier bearing was damaged before it became mine. Original owner had issues with it a gave it away.

Picked up a CB at O’Reilly’s and trying that.

No sleep, no coffee and very frustrated. :annoyed:

Spicer 5002007 is the right one for 4WD, if you’re looking for OEM.

I am, but need a bearing now and spicer is not an immediate option.

Update: new bearing installed and squealed like a mofo on test drive.

    Going to exhange...

New CB with a clean install, now a vibration above 50mph.

I replaced u joints and support bearing and just gained a new brand of vibration. Solid motor and trans mounts made it all go away. DMZ for the cure!

My current vibration is definitely the drive shaft, but I will keep the mounts in mind for additional vibrations that will most likely arise. :hattip::hattip:

After I installed my DMZ SUA I had no vibrations for over a year. Then started getting a weird harmonic resonance starting around 55. Read lots of similar experiences all with differing diagnosis: Tires, ujoints, support bearing, vibration dampeners throughout the chassis, disbonding harmonic balancers on certain engines, drive shaft bent/unbalanced, bad slip yolk, non oem replacement parts...

I’ve been having this same harmonic resonance around 45-55 for about a year. I have no idea what’s causing it. Did you ever get it fixed?

Yup, solid motor and trans mounts from DMZ. Mine would get worse as I increased speed.
If I drove exactly 70 it would subside. Not a hair below or beyond.

    Sorry, resume awesome exhaust fabrication.

Thanks for the response, didn't mean to derail the thread. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem. Thanks for the insight, I will be looking more into it.

Not your fault, I took us down the vibration rabbit hole. :anonymous:

Just made it home from my maiden Houston trip. Hope all is well in Tacomaland and there aren't any fires I have to put out. :D

Started Friday off porting @loginfailed's sc, tb, and lower intake manifold. Datalog for gains verification to come sometime in the future but the "Wizard" says it definitely feels stronger!

Saturday finally got a chance to meet more of the Houston crew. @Torspd, @Biscuits, @Lucario Runner, @loginfailed. All awesome dudes and right away we all got along like long time buddies which in a way we kind of are but it's nice to finally put faces with usernames! Cheers mates!

They all probably think I'm a madman which is semi accurate.

We installed the first JFR Y-pipe on @Lucario Runner's 2wd 4Runner. Fit perfect so was super happy about that! This is the first na engine for the y-pipe and will be a direct comparison to another brands performance (unequal length) y-pipe. Didnt have a chance to even test drive it but it sure sounded better and quieter (my opinion) in the driveway at midnight. Must be the high speed merge collector. :D
Hopefully @Lucario Runner will post a review when he gets a chance. I know I'm very curious what he thinks.

Also got to hear Torspd's beast of a motor as he just got it initially running again. See it here! https://youtu.be/l5PHGK7W1GU

Thanks to @Torspd for letting us all hang at his place and for letting me play with his TIG.

Thanks as well to @loginfailed and his family for letting me crash at their pad. Awesome down to earth people made me feel right at home!

Had a lot of fun and got a lot done in a short period of time. Great trip overall!

    Texfest in March!
